10. I think it is not working. I was at PT today and told everyone how

it was hyped. They all bought it (youngin's), McCarthy was brought down, this Admin. has wore out the FEAR issue!

They kept playing the same card, over and over again. It is like an old record that gets scratched. The kids, don't care, they won the battle, but lost the war. It will be another 40 years in the desert, without any real direction.

9. I was watching Paula Zahn last night...

I know, I'm sadistic. But anyway, ALL she talked about was the bird-flu and how unprepared we are for a pandemic. She had Sanjay Gupta on and he talked about how the world is long overdue for a pandemic that will kill millions. *sigh* I just wish I could understand why the media falls in line with * and friends.

When I was in college, in Reading, PA., I worked part time at Rockwell International in the Cad cam Dept. They told me, during WWII there was a Beryllium (sp?) co., located not to far away and was 11th on the strike list.

The guys told me there was an underground city, because of this. I was working there when the 3 Mile Island, stuff hit. They said to get your lawn chair and go out into the street and basically get fried, because that was better than what would happen. Holey crap! I was 21yrs. old, and they (the engineers were honestly telling me what they would do!).

They mentioned the Hong Kong Flu very breifly; for about 10 seconds. But you're right. They spent a lot more time on the 1918-1919 flu, and they said that killed 100,000,000 (perhaps they meant world-wide?).
