What did Juan Williams say last night when Schwarznegger's win was
announced? At least I think it was Juan Williams. When Chris Matthews announced the win at 11:03pm EST, Williams went into applause and Chris asked why he was applauding? To paraphrase Williams, I thought I heard him say that we need crazy people like Davis out of positions of power; to justify the label, he said that Davis had actually suggested putting the energy company in the hands of the public.

Can someone please let me know if I heard him right? It went by so quickly. Do Californians really believe that Enron was not a mistake?

1. Most pople in Cali
Don't even know of that connection.

You have to understand, what the people at DU know, and
what the rest of the country knows are different things.

Now people are angry, but if the press does not inform them
of the true issues, how pray tell me are they going to know?

Must are joe six pack working stiffs, who really have no time
to go on the net and read Pallast, and as long as Pallast is
kept on Journalistic exile, and cannot appear on US TV, lets say
60 minutes, where msot people get their news.... that is the
crux of the problem and for that to happen we need media reform

2. Are you thinking of Larry Elder?
Juan Williams is a Fox guy--so why would a DUer be watching that? Matthews had Right-winger Larry Elder on. He fills in for Limbaugh when he's gone (perhaps in rehab). They both have mustaches.

3. Switching channels.

I just tuned in and caught the piece I described. Anyone who would sit in for Limbaugh can't possibly be objective. Who were the liberals on Matthew's selected panel, if any? Wasn't that Peggy Nooner next to him? Again, I ask, who was the liberal on the panel?

4. The liberal was...
Lawrence O'Donnell. I'm not sure of his background but he was anti-Schwarz from the get go. Noonan and Elder were conservatives, Feinamn was the "objective" moderate, O'Donnell was the liberal. Matthews was so in love with Schwarz that he wouldn't even allow a Ventura criticism of the gov. elect. Its all part of MSNBCs "unfair and not at all balanced" marketing campaign. Its the Lieberman network. By pretending to be conservative...they get no more conservatives because the cons are captives elsewhere.

I knew they would call it at 10:00 central so I switched to Jon Stewart as fast as I could. Actually it was when Elder applauded that I jumped ship.
