Miers Makeover
Right off the ranch

Right off the plane, fairly recent, as of last week. I think they sent her to Condi's wardrobe consultant.

Right off the nomination plate

Did they push the less frumpy look to go for the career minded woman? Now I'm not really dumping on the lady's appearance, she is who she is. But you can't dress up an orange and tell me it's an apple!

You have to love subtle manipulations

3. thanks Steph
I saw the 2nd one recently here on DU ..roughly 2 weeks ago .. I guess the speculation was running through here even then. I didn't know it was 2003 though.

The first one is much older.. I believe that is 2001.. his first lumber cutting fetish before 9/11.

Lots of different looks for the gal even if the span is 4 years. She's certainly more savvy now to fit the position? Who knows.

7. Lou, Lou, skip to my Lou
Grab your partner and twirl her, too.

Pretty legs, though, apparently, I'll say that.

5. lot of different looks?
I wouldn't pursue this line unless you want to see a lot of posts reminding you that Hillary changed her hair style a whole lot of times....

9. Pursue what line?
I'll pursue whatever line I like but I really don't know what you're talking about - I posted links to the pix from the OP so they could be correctly dated. What's your beef?

11. sorry...misdirected reply
wasn't replying to your post, but to the post above yours that made the point "Lots of different looks for the gal even if the span is 4 years. She's certainly more savvy now to fit the position? Who knows."

And my point was that drawing attention to the fact that she changes her hairstyle strikes me as a waste of time given that lots of women, including Democratic women we admire, do the same thing.

10. Although, there is a psychological process that may apply...

There's a theory that holds water a reasonable amount of the time that women who change their appearance on a regular basis, especially dramatically, are changing the way they look because they are unable to change something else that's bothering them.

I know if I start contemplating a major hair change (i.e. from my natural red to something like pink or black or bleached blond or from long to really short) that there's something in my life I'm unhappy with and I should look there before I take it out on my hair.

Sometimes of course a haircut is just a haircut, but when it's a pattern...

8. I think she was selected, in part, because she looks like a Repiglican
voter.

There are certainly stereotypes - we're wine drinking sushi eaters, you know. And to my thinking she looks just like the other side with her bad makeup and cheap looking fashion choices.

And though I have lots I can say about her appearance beyond that, I think in doing so I'd be falling right into the "democratic elitists" stereotype.
