just heard it on the internet a number of times back in 2000. It's not the kind of thing that bothers me, but I remember thinking about how the media attacked Clinton because of it, and then shut right up about Bush Sr, who practically had Mary Tillotsen sent into media exile over just a single question. Bush Jr vs Gore was just as I was figuring out that Republicans had media teflon and had had it for many years, going back to Reagan at least. We had Gore the devoted husband and long-time public servant vs Bush the drunken, carousing wife-cheater and long-time business sleazer, and Bush was coming off as moral because he was a Republican, in the American media's lying eyes. That's when I realized what had really been happening to America the previous eight years.
