But I do know that it's true that if you wanted to reduce crime, you could -- if that were your sole purpose, you could abort every black baby in this country, and your crime rate would go down. The use of the word 'reprehensible' is why I think it is. That 35% may not see it as reprehensible, but still view the remarks as bad.

It's a matter of degrees for a lot of people and some, while may believe the remarks were bad, may believe people are making too big of a deal out of it.

I asked my grandmother about this today and she thought what Bennett said was awful, but she also thought people were making too big of a deal out of it.

I think they could've done a better job on the question.
