NO MORE CHAMPAGNE AND OYSTERS ON THE POTOMAC!
the arrogant washington republicans have become drunk with power, are out of touch with the needs of struggling americans and have maliciously spread a dangerous culture of corruption and cronyism when we desperately need honesty, integrity and most importantly, accountability.

please hold this administration accountable.

sending this as a short LTTE today...trying to keep it short and punchy so it gets printed, but any other suggestions?

It makes me sick to look at the people in that group and then
think of the rabble we have currently in power...What in the hell is wrong with this country?

5. Any one of those people could do infinitely more for the country than Bush
Literally. By definition. Because Bush is doing nothing for the US.

6. I wish I could agree that Dubya is doing nothing
ComerPerro,

I wish Chimpy's impact were neutral, but overall it is a negative. We are much worse off on account of what he has done.

7. True. I was speaking just in the spirit of "positive accomplishments"
but you are right.

And, besides, if you go negative, the joke just doesn't work.

:P

2. If only we were as wise as our dreams...
I'm convinced (call me crazy) that they allowed the release of the internet based on their future pans - where they could easily trace their adversaries, alter their futures, and screw us liberals over? Think about the abusurdity of todays world - things like "corporate personhood" - fascism - the founders have GOT to be spinning in their graves! I write the sort of LTTEs you describe and get savaged by the brainwashed bushbots - peons as we are yet held in some magical sway no matter how rotten and stinking their core principles as Americans are?! Uh oh, no we're fucked!

4. Can't Democrats have champagne and oysters, too?
Sunday brunch at the Sequoia, sitting on the terrace next to the Potomac is really quite nice.

8. excellent letter
gets to the heart of it. You can argue all the complex political issues you want but the Republican "culture of corruption and cronyism" is the creeping slime that has overflowed the levees in Washington.
