Anybody got the lyrics to Tom Dooly ? We need to revamp
it for Tom DeLay. Heck, let's have a contest once we find the lyrics to the original. It was a folk song in the 50s and 60s.

All I remember is Hang down your head Tom Dooly, hang down yoour head and cry.

1. Here they be ...
The Kingston Trio version.

The woman was named Laura Foster. Tom was innocent.

INTRO:
Throughout history, there've been many songs written about the eternal triangle. This next one tells the story of a Mr. Grayson, a beautiful woman, and a condemned man named Tom Dooley...
When the sun rises tomorrow, Tom Dooley... must hang...

Hang down your head, Tom Dooley,
Hang down your head and cry;
Hang down your head, Tom Dooley,
Poor boy, you're bound to die.
I met her on the mountain,
There I took her life;
Met her on the mountain,
Stabbed her with my knife.

Hang down your head, Tom Dooley,
Hang down your head and cry;
Hang down your head, Tom Dooley,
Poor boy, you're bound to die.

This time tomorrow,
Reckon where I'll be;
Hadn't a-been for Grayson,
I'd a-been in Tennessee.

Hang down your head, Tom Dooley,
Hang down your head and cry;
Hang down your head, Tom Dooley,
Poor boy, you're bound to die.

Hang down your head, Tom Dooley,
Hang down your head and cry;
Hang down your head, Tom Dooley,
Poor boy, you're bound to die.

This time tomorrow,
Reckon where I'll be;
Down in some lonesome valley,
Hangin' from a white oak tree.

Hang down your head, Tom Dooley,
Hang down your head and cry;
Hang down your head, Tom Dooley,
Poor boy, you're bound to die.

Hang down your head, Tom Dooley,
Hang down your head and cry;
Hang down your head, Tom Dooley,
Poor boy, you're bound to die.

Poor boy, you're bound to die;
Poor boy you're bound to die;
Poor boy, you're bound to die...

2. Hang down your head, Tom Dooley
was based on an actual event. Anyway, I googled and found one version of the lyrics here:

4. This tune will now be in my head all day
with alternate lyrics-

Hang down your head, Tom DeLay
Hang down your head and cry
Hang down your head, Tom DeLay
You can kiss your seat good-bye

This time in October
Invectives I will hurl
Trying to avoid facing
That DA, Ronnie Earle

5. here's the new chorus -
Hang down your head, Tom Delay,
Hang down your head and cry;
Hang down your head, Delay,
Poor boy, it's a sin to lie.

OK here's a list of Delay's other sins -

remapping in Texas and using Homeland Security to find them
extorting Nick Smith on the Medicare vote
Terry Shiavo
money laundering

Other things we might wanna use -

He was an exterminator (pest control)
He was also known as Hot Tub Tom
