Freepers think it was US who committed election fraud!
Can't make this shit up. From over at Freakland:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1493884/posts?...

that should be 52%.

Frankly, I've never believed that number either. As I traveled extensively during the election, I never saw or heard vast numbers in favor of the "other one" even in NY.

When the reports came out not long ago with the pages of indictments against the demonRATS for voter fraud et al, I became convinced that President Bush had won with at least 60%.

That's my story and I am sticking to it! ;*)

1. No they don't. They're just lying to cover their sins, as all Repubs do.

3. Projection...
Anything Repubs believe (or know) their own party to be guilty of, they project onto the Democrats.

You start using it at 2 years old with the..

" I know you are but what am I " insult response.

It's the first principal of the big lie too.

6. They win the Carlos Mencia award every time!
"Der Der Der!!!"

Regretfully a laugh at the expense of special people...who are usually sweet and innocent. Perhaps a poor match to Freepers.

9. Ya know, I've always found the idea of each side believing the
other one committed fraud quite interesting. That's the perfect support for vote validation! Nobody trusts anybody, so why aren't both sides fighting for vote validation????

I admit, I have no real proof of fraud, but if voters, on all sides, believe there was fraud, then it's real! Preception is what is really real.

19. They lack more then that
The Free Republic is a very dangerous entity. They are a catalyst that has helped the U.S. drift toward fascism in these past ten years.

My original sign-up as 'ferret' in 1998 was an interesting exercise and I actually lasted as the anarchist and Pacific Green I am until I was banned in April of 2001.

They have become an asset the powers that be factor in and use to do various grass roots tasks from testing the winds to bending the consensus of these people to their whims.

This is the first time in a long time I've been in DU. Mostly I have posted at the FReeper exile dens of Libertypost.org, FreedomUnderground.org,, Freedom4UM.com, and I was actually allowed into Clownposse.org for a spell until I called Shrubya the indictable war criminal he is.

Forgive the thread drift, but I am going to lurk and post here for a spell. The Free Republic does not believe in honest government or democracy.

They promote and nurture fascism, and this is an entity that deserves as little quarter as they give.

Shrub vote. It was all part of our GIANT LIBERAL CONSPIRACY.

Huh? Anyone? Bueller?

Give me a freaking break. Must be hard work being a disenfranchised Republican, in full control of all branches of government and all.

15. If there was any reasoning with them
at all, one might use the opportunity to make the point, a place where all here and there can agree, that NO ONE cam determine a verified vote under the current and future machinery. No one who cares about party or voting at all, no one who is not a simple non-voting fan of empire,or some elitist notion of Republic governed by one's betters can tell what is going on once the lights go out.

A similar situation arose when the opportunity was proposed- by the GOP- to the Democratic majority- to get rid of the electoral college. It would have been of mutual benefit to the honesty and aspirations of both parties in the long run no matter what the current state of respective ideology and intrigue was at the time.

The people should have the government they deserve. And if the majority is like Free Republic they will get it big time. When the Dems got theirs- fairly by the numbers under FDR it was not totally satisfying. Issues could be debated. Power corrupts still and things change. But not having any assurance about the vote at all means a few will get what THEY want and NO ONE gets the government they honestly deserve.

The situation now is that it is impossible to convince anyone of any election numbers. Putting on the selective blinders, as the Dems did back in rejecting Ford's push to get rid of the electoral college(that almost allowed Humphrey a win without plurality) means we are all suckers without a meaningful input on our destiny. A little logic would suggest that the Dems can trust to numbers easily without cheating- would they only dare to clearly rally those numbers boldly and protect their rear ends. Somehow that natural advantage gets timidly fogged up and made hapless and vulnerable. Clearly, in my biased opinion, the GOP
has not hope in a competitive democracy simply by refusing to represent minor or major interests of the majority. The must seek unfair advantages and IMHO they have spared no crime or resource to do so.

But that is the rub. Being reasonable. One side is usually more unreasonable than the other, which makes the entire point moot because Freepers are nothing remotely like thinking beings who can reason to their best self interest.

It has nothing to do with principles, policies, or ideas. They hate Democrats. The programming is irreversible.

17. Operative Word: story
They know...they just don't care. 'Winning' is everything, as if it validates your worldview. Cheating is perfectly acceptable, as long as they are the beneficiaries. If you've noticed on any of the major posting cites that allow Bushbots...they no longer argue policy or defend their leaders....it's now, "we are right, because we won."

They know Republicans are gaming the elections, they simply will not say it.

but in that blindness of success they reality is that things will go badly and a sacrificing one's freedom will make for a very bad hangover.

But right now they as undeniably drunk as their Glorious Fuhrer is likely doped up.
