Just because the polls say something doesn't make it so. Remember Harry Truman, all the polls said he would lose and he won in '48. None of the precincts have even reported in yet, so don't worry.

2. Can someone tell me how the absentee ballots figure into this?

The networks (cable, at least) are projecting Schwartzenegger as the winner, based on exit polling. Do they account for the absentee ballots in that as well? Or are they ignoring those numbers? Do they even have those numbers?
