Poll question: Is DU becoming the new FR?
I don't see much leftist posting compared to the past. Plenty rightwing (imo) stuff, tho.

If FR's support is going down, and DU's is going up, is that because the freepers are taking over, here?

Sorry, polls are turned off at Level 3.

1. Wanna be a little more specific on that rightwing posting? Point out some.

4. Can't: "calling out" is not allowed. But look at the anti-ANSWER threads
just for an example. And look at the anti-"purist" posts, whose thesis is always that Dems must be more like the GOP because winning is everything (an idea Kucinich exposed for the bankrupt, self-destructive fraud it is when he spoke in Oakland during his campaign). Look at the anti-Chavez and anti-Castro threads.

There's plenty to look at.

7. There are all kinds of Democrats. I don't see any of those as rightwing.
If we all thought alike, THEN we would be just like FR.

10. Anti-Stalinist is right wing?
Interesting....

Actually, I do agree that DU is becoming uncomfortably like FR, but not for the reasons that you think so. I'm more concerned about the dogmatism and groupthink than the fact that some of us do not think very highly of a group that supported the Tiananmen Square Massacre.

3. What has been right wing?
Everybody's beliefs are different and there are many thousands of DUers, DU represents the range of opinions but I dont think there is any kind of RW sentiment here.

5. Write in vote: "centrist" Dems are uncomfortable about war positions of
their favorites and are furiously trying to counter the wave of support for Cindy Sheehan by many of the people (true Democrats) they usually try to keep in line, but who are forever disgusted with the party "standard bearers": Kerry, Biden, Bayh, Lieberman, Clinton.

8. Actually, it's been a little worse than FR
I certainly don't expect to come here and have to defend marching in an anti-war rally.

9. I agree! A definite right wing tilt is developing at DU
Also, too much time wasted Bush bashing, Rove bashing, De Lay bashing, etc.!

We all know these are all scumbags, so why waste valuable BW?

This should be a venue for getting out the positive facts about groups and individuals who stand for social justice and the means to advance the Progressive Cause.
