I know what to cut in the budget

The congressional salary and maybe even the salary of the cabinet. Why do we have to pay these people such high salaries for doing the public's work? I say only pay them enough to maintain residency and to make the commute to DC. As for the cabinet, I think the majority of them are just fine financially, so they don't need our dollars.

Which is pretty much the case now but occasionally a non-rich person slips in. We need some commoners in there. I do think it would be a nice gesture if the really wealthy ones would give up their salaries.
