I despise and fear Sean Hannity the most. What Hannity does best is agreeing 100% with BushCo on every single issue. If BushCo killed a baby, Hannity would be the first to defend him. Rush Limpballs to me is nothing more than a comedian, though he is also a propagandist. A few of the right-wing hosts like Michael Savage sometimes do something that is very foreign to their evil trade -- that is, criticize this adminstration.

Second on my list is the crook, Gordon Liddy.

2. Kinda like picking the most wrinkled raisin, but I'd say Hannity
for sheer suck-up-ability.

I don't listen to/watch enough of them to really form an opinion. Three words into the show and I destroy the remote by flinging it at the screen, so hubby keeps the RC away from me (or that's his excuse).

3. Rush. In 1993, I sat at breakfast IDing the most dangerous person. Rush.
He has changed the entire nature of this country. He has been one of the top 10 most influential Americans in history. He was underestimated for too long. He was dismissed as the idiot he was and is, but we failed to recognize one thing: He gave easy answers; you don't have to think - you just have to hate. And he built the Power. In 1994, he received an award from the GOP, as the Majority Maker. Never again will a Gerald Ford or Nelson Rockefeller be a leader in the GOP. But, thanks to Rush, never again will a principled conservative be a serious voice. No, it's Karl Rove from here on out. The FReepers will go along with anything to support Bush. And the Dems live within the Beltway, and have no clue. This will all change. It must. Like a mighty stream. And soon. Very soon.

5. Rush Limbaugh most definitely has the largest audience base
The Freepers dedicate thread to his show!!!! YUCK!!!

I can't wait for the day he kicks the bucket or is off the air. I will most certainly celebrate the Death of Rush Limbaugh or ANYTHING that gets his fat ass off the air. Not that I wish any one death but the absence of Rush will most certainly be a blessing and the beginning of a new era of hope in America! He has badly damaged this country! Or should I say, his idiot ditto heads who follow him in Lock Step have!

Trying to cloak himself as a "common sense" guy who's not one way or the other. Those are the type who really inject shit in the system.

9. Exactly...
...And that would be Rush.

None of the others have gotten more mainstream acceptance than Rush; it's not entirely for his ideas however. That's why he's the most dangerous.

Even folks who don't listen to him, or don't agree with him, know of him. He plays in charity golf tournaments. He's appeared on the cover of Cigar Afficianado. He's won awards for audience consumption in a single gulp.

Sadly, some whom might reject his message shake their heads and say, "Yeah, that Rush, he's a helluva businessman. He must be doin'something right."

That's a person to fight against. The others are pissants.

13. The problem is none of them are actually that bright. They are
simply the messengers of the RW. I know you all have noticed how an issue comes up & just tune in to the different idiots. They all have their talking points to get out to their faithful drones.

Their clientele does not require an intelligent host. They just blindly follow.

I think that is why it is so much harder for the left to get a good talk show going. It requires someone who is articulate, intelligent because we question and do not follow blindly.

Just a thought. Actually I don't fear any of them, they just make me sick and we are finally getting our asses in gear and making some headway. Bill Press, I think is doing a great job on his show, he has good guests and it is an intelligent talk show. Much better and more honest than the right wingers.

12. Mike Gallagher
Isn't he the guy who brought the busload of people down to Crawford and they yelled "We don't care"??

That was so cruel.

I also think Savage is a dangerous man.

Then of course there is Sean. :puke:

But the worst has to be Rush. He started it all.

14. Sean Hannity, Tammy Bruce, and Laura Ingraham
Edited on Mon Sep-26-05 08:11 PM by Pushed To The Left
Hannity really angered me during the election last year with the way he smeared John Kerry and other Democrats. He just drills and drills the propoganda until some of the more easily manipulated listeners are "Hannitized".

Tammy Bruce is probably worse, because she actually advocated racism during the election. There was a poll that had Kerry ahead with Arab-American voters. She was telling Jewish people that they should vote for Bush for that reason! She continued to paint Arab-Americans and Jews as enemies. It was one of the most racist, hateful things I have ever heard on the air.

Laura Ingraham played a soundbite of a politician speaking out against anti-gay discrimination. Ingraham responded by saying that "that statement is a slap in the face to all people of faith!".

Bill O'Reilly isn't as bad, but he tries to paint himself as a moderate while attacking what he calls "secular progressives" and calling the ACLU "the most dangerous organization in America"

15. Hate em all.
The only reason they have radio gigs is due of the scarcity of Pirate Shoulders from which to squawk from.

Forgive me, your noodliness, for mentioning Pirates contrary to the laws set forth in the Book of Semolina.

18. 1. Rush 2. Hannity 3. Laura Ingram 4. Mark Levin
Edited on Mon Sep-26-05 08:24 PM by jzodda
His influence runs deep. Hannity and most other right wing radio nutsos are clones of Rush.

Do not forget that back in 1994 Gingrich thanked him for being so helpful in taking the house away from the dems. Rush is probably not at the peak of his power anymore, but his history and for what he started he gets #1 on my list

Hannity gets #2 for me. He feels less dangerous because I do not think he is capable of thinking beyond the talking points he is given each day. Rush can and often does just that, and so he is far more dangerous.

Laura Ingram gets #3. She is nasty, sarcastic, disrepectful and could never ever handle a real intelligent discussion. She just "sounds" smart and so it gives her talking points the appearance of intelligence. I think she may be even worse then Hannity in her use of the talking points like they are some laws or something.

Mark Levin gets #4. This is the guy that hannity calls the "great one" He is far from great-he claims to be an expert on the constitution because he is an attorney. He is also nasty and disrepectful, and dangerous. He uses legalese to try to fool the non-lawyers out there about constutional law.

Of the others? Savage is more of a comedian I think. He says the most outrageous stuff for ratings and attention. Nobody takes him serious really and he does slam the admin at times, which is nice.
