| Why Hasn't The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Department Announced |
|
Edited on Tue Oct-07-03 03:58 PM by DemocratSinceBirth
Charges Against Rush Limbaugh?
From press accounts they have what appears to be probable cause.....
Is there one standard of justice for the rich and famous and another standard for us "regular" people?

the only thing I can come up with is...
They're building a rock-solid case before arresting (Black is the attorney).
There's no real flight risk.
they're waiting for the right time - mediawise. Palm Beach cops love publicity!

This would be circumstantial evidence. Plus the recordings his maid have are highly suspect because there are no warrants for that. It probably wouldn't be admissable. So what do they have? Not much without clear possesion of the substance.
Regardless, this would go to a Grand Jury for an indictment.
It really doesn't matter, the damage is already done. We have slayed the dragon.

| 5. Is there a double standard? Just ask yourself... |
|
"If Rush Limbaugh were 20 years old, black, and too poor to hire a lawyer, would he be in prison at this very moment?"
That should give you your answer.

| 7. Limbaugh won't be charged |
|
This is Jeb Bush Florida, and they've said several times they were after the dealers not the users.
I'd love to see Limbaugh charged, but there's no way in hell now it will happen unless Limbaugh is stupid enough to try to get a new supplier and the pressure mounts on them to bust him.
No DA will want to waste the time and money going after him on without having him red-handed with the drugs in his possession.
Only reason we heard about this at all is because his maid and her husband went to the Enquirer
I bet Jebbie knew all about Limbaugh prior to the story breaking. Bet GW knew as well. But they need this idiot to keep their goose-stepping ditto-heads in line and marching off to the polls in '04.

I wouldn't be suprised if the Palm Beach County Sheriff is a Dem.....
I know first time offenders usually get probation and treatment but they are usually charged first....

|
... don't remember where I read it, but supposedly, police are giving the gasbag time to turn himself in. And, I believe he was broadcasting from NY studios last Friday, so it's possible he's not going back to Florida for a while....
All works very conveniently until lawyers can work something out in the way of rehab with the cops and the courts.

| 11. Of course there are two standards of justice, though I think 3 or 4 now |
|
Here they are:
1) Justice for Nobodies (3 gropes and it's Life in Prison)
2) Justice for the Amerikan Aristocracy (Busheviks, Cronies, assorted minions) -- they are "above" the Law and have next to nothing to fear from Bushevik Law "Enforcement" which, naturally, NEVER harms Busheviks (watch Rush -- you'll see)
3) Justice for the Amerikan Aristocracy when their victim(s) have a media/ratings-friendly story -- this is the only time they get punished -- in the case of Democrats, this usually results in over-punishment -- in the case of Republicans, well, then it means that they won't get off scot-free.

i'm not in FL but i talked to the local DA over the weekend. we went to school together and ran into each other at a trailhesd. we hiked and talked and the rush thing came up. he said he had NEVER charged anyone for drug posserion or attempt to buy without drugs seized unless it was a sting-op.
he said limbaugh walks unless they really push it.

He is going to get away with this, folks. He is WAY too powerful to be brought down on any of this stuff. The Madman will walk. Check his web site (barf) and you can see where this is going - to him, just another Dem "smear campaign." All of those expressing gee-whiz sympathy on this site for the Pilodinal Cyst will eat your words when you see what transpires.

... in any investigation that already involves the State's Attorney's Office, the SA (not the police) will decide when a warrant will be sought, and that is normally at such time as he/she believes there is evidence enough to convict.
