The tide is turning against *..........Republicans ranting.
Edited on Fri Sep-23-05 02:35 AM by Historic NY
Tonight I had several conversations, relative to the hurricane Rita & Katrina. During the course of the conversation I mentioned the bodies still left hanging on fences and in homes rotting away. I was shocked when both individuals went off on * and how incompetent he is. They even mentioned they now believe that Al Gore was robbed of the Presidency & John Kerry by electronic voting. One said he has been reading up on it an the other listens to a public radio show in the afternoon which mentioned it.

Mentioned how Bush's buddies at Diebold stole the election. I told them about our (DU) friend Andy Stephenson and his campaign for verified paper ballots. They agreed there should be no machines that don't have a receipt. Both of these people were Republicans. I was dumbfounded and let them rant.

Earlier I was a car cruise night and several more people were discussing just how is our country to pay for these hurricanes. They were disgusted with * , the war and the down spiral of the economy. They were down right angry and again they were Republicans. I again let them rant. They are absolutely furious about how this country is going to ruin.

So for me it was an amazing night, finding 6 Republicans that were not happy at at with *. They asked me as a Democrat who I thought should run....I mentioned Gore, Clark & Edwards. They didn't seem to care much for Hillary and I agreed. I explained the many real Democrats are trying to take back our party from the limousine elites. In the end one said the entire lot of Republicans should be sent packing come election time. They plan to vote for Democrats to send a message.

I went home very happy tonight knowing they are as angry as I am.

3. Wow
Yeah no Hillary please.

The thing liberals must to to regain power is to tie the failures of bush to conservatism/neo-conservatism.

4. Thanks for the uplifting post. Andy was a hellava patriot!
It's nice to see his name in writing. We lost a real treasure when we lost Andy. I'll never forget him. Ever.

The thing is...these evil, maniacal madmen are not Repubs! They are imposters posing as such. The masses are no longer asses. (at least for the most part. lol) The Neomania is frightening. I'm glad people are coming out of their long-term comas! Geez...

Peace.

5. Lovely experiences - thanks for posting.
It sounds like rational people who pay attention are starting to understand what's really going on.

I guess knowledge is power after all. ;)

then I'll agree.

Don't want to diminish the rewards, but these long beards evidently played a large part in what the freak is happening, K?

If they want to step up to the plate and try for a home run next time, go for it.
But I won't forget, EVER, those ignoble ones who allowed this to happen. They do not escape unscathed.
Is their name "Judas"?

12. fooj is right
These people are crooks who infiltrated the republican party. These angry republicans have every right to be as upset as we are. I still fault them, though, for not seeing through people like bush and cheney in time.

14. commuting to and from work
Over the recent months I've been playing a game during my morning commute...

mentally noting how many cars have "bush*" or Kerry bumper stickers..

I haven't made this a "formal" survey in that I've written anything down. However, in general, I've seen a decrease in bush* stickers

What is making me smile is an increase of anti-bush* stickers. Yesterday I noted 2 "buck fush" and 1 "bushit" stickers. Last week I saw none of these.

What abour your neck of the woods? more/less or the same "bush*" stickers? Kerry stickers? other?

15. I stopped by the Democratic booth at the Los Angeles county fair today.
I asked the people working there if any Repubs had come by to change their party affiliation. The girl said there hadn't been any today, but yesterday she worked a half day shift, and during that time two Republicans had changed their registration to Democratic, and this was just at ONE registration table in four hours! Apparently Hurricane Katrina was the last straw for them.

I told her about DU while at was at it too.

18. You know, they are less likely
Edited on Fri Sep-23-05 06:27 AM by lildreamer316
to actually change their party affiliation than to just vote Dem next time and then hold out hope for a return to whatever they view as true conservatism/Republicanism. I wouldn't use that as a way of judging. They, like us,want to hold onto the dream a little.....
