There's a lot going on and I know the people of Texas and surrounding states are terrified. I understand completely. I lived on the Gulf Coast for several years.
We are still seeing and hearing the horrors of Katrina and Iraq is becoming more deadly everyday to all people there.

Cindy and the Peace Tour has "kind of" taken a back seat.
I wanted to wish all who are going to DC a safe and good trip.
Also, those who are having Rallies in your cities, best of luck for a great turn out everywhere.

I've been checking online news everyday and the world is watching the turmoil here due to the weather, but also they are watching The Peace Tour leading up to the Rally in DC.
It appears the foreign press is more interested in what happens than our MSM.

Peace activist brings anti-war campaign to Washington
WASHINGTON (AP) — Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan on Wednesday pledged to "force change to happen" during protest speeches outside the White House and Capitol.

Sheehan arrived in Washington after a three-week cross-country bus tour that began near President Bush's ranch in Crawford, Texas. She is expected to participate in an anti-Iraq war rally Saturday that organizers hope could draw tens of thousands of people.

Sheehan, whose 24-year-old son, Army Spc. Casey Sheehan, was killed last year in Iraq, wants Bush to more fully justify the war and say what steps he will undertaken to end it.

"This is where we will force change to happen because we the people of America are the checks and balances on this government," she said. "And we will end this war.

Washington Girds for War Protesters, `Mass Civil Resistance'
Sept. 22 (Bloomberg) -- Peggy Smith, a retired legal secretary from Terre Haute, Indiana, is coming to Washington for her first anti-war march this weekend. She has one question: ``You think they'll put a 61-year-old lady in jail?''

The nation's capital is bracing for what organizers say will be the biggest rally yet against the Iraq war, with more than 100,000 participants. The U.S. Park Police has canceled leaves for all officers, and city police will operate on 12-hour shifts to deal with the protesters, who are planning what one of their Web sites calls a ``mass civil resistance action''

The weekend protest is scheduled to begin with a rally tomorrow on the Ellipse across from the White House, followed by a march through the city's streets. Other events include the concert on the National Mall and a ``peace and justice festival.'' Similar rallies are scheduled in Los Angeles and San Francisco.

BIRMINGHAM Anti-war rally, march set Saturday:

"Alabama Says: Stop the War on Iraq Peace Rally and March" will be Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Kelly Ingram Park downtown. The march will begin and end at the park and follow a one-mile route through downtown streets.
