The South Texas Nuclear Project is in the path of Rita
www.stpnoc.com and www.nukeworker.com

It is in Bay City.

Although it would seem probable that the reactors can withstand huge winds, who knows? Plus all the powerlines and stuff will be messed.

1. Yes, I posted my worries on this yesterday
It is near Bay City, not in it. It is closer to the Gulf than Bay City. My daughter, who lives in Austin, and I went to the beach at Matagorda Peninsula a few years back, and that is when I found out about the nuclear facility there--very close to the Gulf and Matagorda Bay--and right in the eye of the hurricane projection for now.
