Anyone think Bush* campaign will use flight suit footage?
Regarding campaign commercials, does anyone here think the Bush propaganda masters will actually use the footage of DumbAss in his tight little flight suit prancing around on the aircraft carrier deck pretending he was a real life non-AWOL pilot? Or does the campaign realize that image is a huge joke to millions of voters, especially now that Iraq is blowing up in their faces? ... Place your bets.

7. dem dem
You beat me to it.

I'm picturing the aircraft landing with the number of casualties along the bottom of the screen. Then the aircraft taking off with updated number on it.

21. You don't even need numbers.
Just show the smiling fool in his flight suit, play the sound clip of him saying "BRING IT ON", and then fade to tired American troops with low morale.

2. If it's used at all
...it will be a one second blip in a "Montage of Heroism" with pics of the exalted one in front of the Statue of Liberty, Mt Rushmore and, of course, the infamous 9/11 photo aboard AF One.

19. My thoughts exactly
they'll use it in a montage to create an overall emotional high for freepers.

i think the dems should use the clip of bush in the classroom on 9/11 when he's told about the attack and he looks so very bewildered.

They have no shame, no conscience, no sense of hypocrisy.

They'll use it.

5. Uh, no....
Did you see the cover of Time this week?

I don't know how to post pictures, but it shows the Shrub on the carrier with the title in huge letters:

MISSION NOT ACCOMPLISHED

15. The "Commander Codpiece" footage is OURS
Edited on Mon Oct-06-03 07:12 PM by rocknation
Not only because he looks foolish but because it's a reminder that he didn't deliver. I especially like the Time cover because they included the crotch. Don't think for one second that it was an accident: I've worked in advertising--I know for a fact that people get fired for not "noticing" things like that. This was a deliberate slap at the Pretzel-Dunce--here's hoping that it's only beginning

20. I just *boggle*
thinking about how that twit thought it was worth enduring a full bore wedgie so he could strut with a pooched package. Bet he had to clean his shorts with an eraser when he got home.

He'll insist on using it. It's his crowning memory in his legendary short-bus presidency. Ego overrides everything with these guys.

8. WE NEED TO USE IT...
It needs to be used in the Democrats advertising. Complete with Banner. Take their sham photo op and use it against them.

Clark or Kerry is the nominee.

I think the Dems should trot out that picture along with that silly action hero doll. President Dressup. In deed.

That'll tank his campaign in a friggin' hearbeat.

It reminds me so much of Dukakis in that M1 tank with the helmet on.

13. Democrats should steal the Carrier Costume Party issue.
And they should steal it now, while the public's doubts about the invasion of Iraq are growing. The ads should include the rising toll of dead and injured, including Iraqis, and the "bring 'em on" Bushshit and the Whistle Ass poem referring to landing on a carrier as "an adventure." The ads also should include the goofy headshot of Whistle Ass in the goggles. This not only would preempt the republicans from using this Bushshit, it also would ridicule Whistle Ass. Americans are uncomfortable voting for the object of successful ridicule.

14. After seeing it again on Time Magazine this week,
I think he'd be a fool to use it. Not only was the mission not accomplished, but the bulge in his pants (from failing to unhook the straps) doesn't look sexy, it looks more like a overloaded diaper. I hope Rove uses though -- it's as goofy looking as the Dukakis helmet debacle.

17. Best laugh of the day
overloaded diaper! Exactly--and it was done purposefully--the real pilots in this drama, already had unfastened their straps so that they could walk properly. This jerk did not even know enough to unstrap -- so we are treated to a little jerk of a stupid man, walking like he has a load in his pants, displaying his genitals in a big puffed up and padded "package" trying to look as though he really does have something--anything,-- even if it is a padded codpiece. He is a clown dressing up in costume.

try and use it. If we're smart we'll use it to our advanage.

25. I guarantee that the footage will be used...
after all, if they could pawn off that picture of bush looking out of AF1 as some kind of, "This is your hero president on the watch for terrorists", garbage; while he was jetting off to a bunker in NE, I could see the footage as viable for the morans that think bush actually is some kind of 'good' leader.

He's really pushing that Commander in Chief crapola too. Which is fine by me; he's pretty poor at that stuff too; no Osama, no Saddam, no WMD's...but plenty of casualties. Some CiC, pretty poor example of someone who states he knows what he's doing.

Let him, the country will go ballistic over the "Mission Accomplished" banner. (But I bet that would be washed out).
