How'd * Do With His Summer Reading?
I recall an article when * went on siesta that he was going to read 3 weighty history books during his "working vacation" ("Alexander II: The Last Great Tsar" by Edvard Radzinsky, "The Great Influenza: The Epic Story of the Deadliest Plague in History" by John M. Barry, and "Salt: A World History" by Mark Kurlansky.)

I know * had to shorten his vacation by two days because of distrations arising from the worst natural disaster ever in the U.S, but I'm wondering just how he did overall with his reading program.

I wonder if any of the bright lights in the press corps will ever ask him for a report on what he learned from all that reading.

The Epic Story of the Deadliest Plague in History

Why is it whenever I think of Bush reading that book, that I immediately think of the Twilight Zone episode "To Serve Man"?

7. You're all just sooo cynical...
I'm sure the WH wouldn't put out a story saying the President was reading three weighty tomes if it wasn't true. Maybe some GOP senator could politicely ask * for a televised book report to the nation.

8. I believe he substituted a Elmore Leonard western instead....
because he wouldn't want to muddle his beautiful mind with anything that might make him THINK!

9. Another LIE - he said himself he was reading Elmore Leonard >

Bush himself described a typical day at his Crawford ranch to reporters recently, as reported by The New York Times: "I'm going to have lunch with Secretary of State Rice, talk a little business; Mrs. Bush, talk a little business ... take a little nap. I'm reading an Elmore Leonard book right now, knock off a little Elmore Leonard this afternoon; go fishing with my man, Barney; a light dinner and head to the ballgame. I get to bed about 9:30 p.m., wake up at 5 a.m. So it's a perfect day."

10. Tinfoil time
I don't think it much matters what he reads....if anything. To me the list of summer reading books say a little more.
First of all the W.H.O. has been talking about this asian flu (bird flu) that is supposed to hit this winter and CBS (?) I believe did special the other night and "experts" suggested that hundreds of thousands.......if not millions of people will die this winter due to this rare flu...... In the U.S. alone! They compared it to the pandemic of 1918

The great influenza? Heres a review: http://www.ruthlessreviews.com/books/g/greatinfluenza.html

Then we have AlexanderII all about terrorism......heres the review:
http://www.mosnews.com/news/2005/08/16/bushradzinsky.shtml

I see "Salt" the history and book as drawing a lot of paralells to oil and the current situation....or thirst?
Heres a review: http://blogcritics.org/archives/2005/07/11/112008.php

At any rate; just as everything this administration does is scripted...why would his so called summer reading list be any different? I mean c'mon......we know this idiot isnt going to read these kinds of books.

11. I can see it now ... "The Bush Book Club" ... Oprah, move over!

A monthly reading selection, with televised commentary by a panel of illustrious authors and cultural experts, hosted by * himself.

In some other universe, perhaps.
