I'm just blown away by what the people are saying. Danny Glover and Harry Belafonte just laid into the bush administration about outsourcing gov't responsibilities to the private sector, about the racism involved in the slow response/rescue, and the need to watch carefully the reconstruction of New Orleans. And, they weren't the only ones...Elvis Costello and Robin Williams and others. Evidently, they are saying the things live on stage that we here on DU have been thinking and saying to each other. It's about over now, but if you get a chance to watch a re-run, don't miss it.

1. I'm so glad they feel they can speak out. And we will be watching
the reconstruction.

2. I am, and it's the best tribute yet! I was
sitting here thinking what PBS might gain from this politically. I'm happy to say I think this is truly for the musicians and people. Ken Burns was eloquent in his description of New Orleans-the program has been great so far!

5. I guess the scheduling depends on the local PBS station.
I'm guessing that your local station will air it at one time or another.

station so between them they probably will show it.

Update: I just checked and neither one will show it, ever. I am pissed!!! KCTS has been an utter sham lately -- they probably cannot afford it.

7. Bill Cosby- "integrity and accountability". Seems he
pointed out what we've been missing, but in a nice way. :)
