1-877-???-????
I don't know if this has been talked about yet. But on Air America
today they talked about how more inept the federal government is with
regard to the toll free number they came up with for the hurricane victims and
why they couldn't come up with a 1-877-HelpNow or something to that effect.
I think they did it on purpose because they don't want to help anyone.
Does anyone remember the number? They also said they can come up with easily
remembered numbers when it suits there purpose.

1. You have to buy the vanity numbers,
and if they're already taken, then you don't get them. I'm sure a lot of those kind of "helpful" vanity numbers are already taken. That said, they probably could have come up with one.

8. I dunno if that would be a good idea.
Because then you'd be answering all the calls directed towards the person / corporation who originally had that number. :7

4. You mean to tell me
that for the worst natural disaster in our history they couldn't of come up
with something better. How are these poor misplaced people supposed to remember
that number. What was it by the way?

9. They probably could have,
but my point is that if most of "the good ones" are already taken, then there's not a lot you can do about it.

Here ya go, have at it, see what hasn't been taken. :P

6. Yeah, like 1-877-528-7462.
Had they acted fast enough, Katrina should have been available. Oh, wait: FEMA act fast enough. What was I thinking?

2. Is this the one Randi Rhodes reviewed all day one day?
The one where, after telling you that the lines are full, says that you will be disconnected and then disconnects you? I don't remember what it was, but try 1-877-382-5968 (based on what can be spelled with the last seven keys, starting with f and ending with u).

13. Why don't we see if we can
make a word out of the 877 number he gave out and publicize that. Does anyone know what it was?
