6. Hee...stunningly enough no...
it was Julio Franco.

And I have to admit, a part of me thinks that might be the only thing I've ever heard about shrub that I liked. That he is good friends with a very dark skinned Puerto Rican man. Wonder how that is gonna play with the psycho-racist segment of the party faithful.

9. If it had been anybody but shrub...
it would have been a neat story actually. Apparently they met back when Julio played for the Rangers and shrub was managing general partner. Hit it off. Are close enough that shrub attended his wedding.

Like I said, a part of me hopes they really are friends. And not just because it might cost shrub votes from the hard-core racists. If he's able to be friends with a black man from Puerto Rico then maybe all is not lost.

I know...I'm a dreamer. :-)

12. Bush can make friends with a multi-millionaire pro ballplayer of color
It's a different story for those who aren't either one.

My dream. A Yankees and Cubs World Series. But I would be perfectly happy with a Sox/Cubs matchup too.
