Bush on May 29, 2003 (during French TV Interview):

"And as life returns back to normal, and as we get a hold of the situation -- particularly in Baghdad -- of the killers and people that are wreaking havoc -- in other words, as we bring security to the neighborhoods -- you'll see a good, democratic government emerge."

Today, September 14, 2005, over TWO YEARS and almost 2000 American lives later:

Bombs, gunmen kill over 150 in Baghdad

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - A suicide bomber lured a crowd of Shi'ite Muslim day laborers to his minivan and blew it up in Baghdad on Wednesday, killing 114 people in the bloodiest of a wave of attacks that took more than 150 lives in the capital.

The bomber drew the men to his vehicle with promises of work before detonating the bomb, which contained up to 500 pounds (220 kg) of explosives, an Interior Ministry source said.

It was the second deadliest single attack since the U.S.-led invasion of March 2003.

"There's no political party here, there are no police,..."

...

In Iraq gas is 5 cents a gallon. In Iran gas is 40 cents a gallon.

In Saudi Arabia gas is 91 cents a gallon. In Kuwait gas is 78 cents a gallon.

In Egypt gas is 65 cents a gallon.

And in Venezuela where Pat Robertson wanted to kill the president gas is 12 cents a gallon

2. Yes, but most of these families were underprivileged anyway,
so in actuality this is working out rather well for them...

Many of those were expected to die because the injuries were so severe.
