I find it facinating that when the head of "the Party of Personal Responsibility" actually takes responsibility (even begrudgingly and full of caveats), it's worthy of "lead story" status on the evening news.

voting base who only read one book and believe everything their revernends and Liddy, North, Hannity, Limbaugh, Phelps, Coulter, Moon, Murdoch, etc. tell them. They are the devoted defenders whose vote is essential to Cheney.

Bush is a front man just as much as Brown was for a week, but Bush has been programmed to think he is President and we know what that means - a delusional person bent on loyaty, betrayal, and revenge who fronts for a cabal that creates delusions that we live by while they destroy us. Every vote counts. Your elected officials are working for you. The government is yours and works for you. Lobbyists play a small role. The FDA and Homeland Security are your friends. etc.

Cheney equals PNAC, Fed Society, Tri-Lateral, Illuminati, CEO's and their stockholders, military brass, intelligence services, etc.

See - everyone's happy. He "accepts blame" which makes a lot of moderate pubs/independents happy - except for those people who think he's the messiah and can't believe he is responsible for anything going wrong, so the spin for them is - he was just being a really swell guy and protecting his buddy.
