6. "Fair and balanced" ...
... does not mean the same as "accurate"

3. I searched by typing in the words "FOX news lies" and got this.

It's the first site of many.

http://www.lewrockwell.com/orig/steinreich8.html

Now that I went back and read it, it's pretty funny.

"March 23: The network begins 2 days of unequivocal assertions that a 100-acre facility discovered by coalition forces at An Najaf is a chemical weapons plant. Much is made about the fact that it was booby trapped. A former UN weapons inspector interviewed on camera over the phone downplays the WMD allegations and says that booby-trapping is common. His points are ignored as unequivocal charges of a chemical weapons facility are made on Fox for yet another day (March 24). Only weeks later is it briefly conceded that the chemicals definitively detected at the facility were pesticides."

7. Their bias especially shows on interviews
Edited on Sun Oct-05-03 10:51 AM by LSdemocrat
For example, a couple of months ago they interviewed a reporter from Vermont to talk about Howard Dean. The anchor (I don't remember who it was) kept trying to get the reporter to say that Dean was an "ultra-liberal who was out of touch with mainstream America," while the reporter kept saying that Dean's record shows he's a moderate. This went on for about five questions in a row. Then the anchor started claimed that his moderateness as governor and his fiery campaign style showed that Dean constantly changes his positions which shows he's untrustworthy, "especially compared to President Bush, who most people say is extremely honest and trustworthy"
