Turncoats unite (Zell Miller endorses Ken Blackwell for Ohio governor)
Ohio Secretary of State Uncle Tom Blackwell has locked up the traitor vote. Last week, former U.S. Senator and Georgia Governor Zell Miller endorsed Blackwell in a speech to church leaders in Columbus.

He said Blackwell "knows what is right, wants to accomplish great things for Ohio, and has the courage to stick to his principles." Apparently, Blackwell and Miller share a lot of the same principles, such as devotion to opportunism.

Blackwell used to be a champion of black issues, until he saw that Republicans had an opening for Token Negro. By last year, he had gone full circle, doing his best to suppress the black vote in the presidential election...

Now he is supporting Ohio's most right-wing candidate for governor. "Ken is my kind of Republican," Miller said. Sure he is, Zell.

2. The bile just rushed into my throat at the mention of both of their names
in the same sentence.

Ohio is going to work smart, right? We are not going to have a costly primary fight, right?

We are going to present to the voters someone who can be elected, right?

Let the fighting begin. Democrats go to your corners and prepare to fight each other (bell rings).

I don't want to hear from one OHIOIAN, how Blackwell doesn't stand a chance, yada, yada, yada..............

COLUMBUS - ...

He encouraged fellow pastors to circulate petitions calling for fair and swift confirmation hearings for U.S. Supreme Court nominee John Roberts. He also asked church leaders to help register 400,000 new Ohio voters as part of the Reformation Ohio project. His group has goals parallel to the Ohio Restoration Project, led by Rev. Russell Johnson of Lancaster...

Quoting from his best-selling book, "Silent No More,'' Parsley also expressed concern about the world's growing Muslim population: "I will rail against the idea that the God of Christianity and the god of Islam are the same being.''...

Butler County business leader Rick Segal is leading a group that will interview potential lieutenant governor candidates to be on next year's ticket with Blackwell...

In 2000, Segal was a senior adviser to GOP presidential candidate Steve Forbes and spokesman for the Rev. Billy Graham's 2000 mission to Cincinnati.

For those looking to separate fact from fiction regarding the 2006 election for governor, there's only one place to start.

It's in the Republican Party primary.

There are now three candidates -- Secretary of State Ken Blackwell, State Auditor Betty Montgomery and Attorney General Jim Petro.

Fiction: Montgomery and Petro continue to insist they can prevail in a three-way con test...

8. Blackwell also changed parties...
He was a member of the Charter Party (a local political party with strong ties to the Democrats nationally) and was a sometime Democrat. In the mid-1980's he realized that if he sold out the black community and embraced Reagan, his political fortune would be made.

He's one sick fucker, that boy.

...and yes, I'm using "boy" in it's most derogatory sense.

9. Blackwell is the next Ohio Gov
He'll win the Repub nomination easily, and win against either Strickland or Coleman, who are not well known statewide. The Taft scandals are ancient history. They're down to firing a few lower-level people to make it look good, but haven't seen any new stories about Taft in many days here. The local paper doesn't even list it among the top 15 "stories of continuing interest" on their webpage.

We can make it closer, but Ohio is VERY red in its state office selections, the Repubs have a HUGE money advantage, and a couple of issues tailor-made to appeal to the neanderthals and the God Squad.

I wouldn't hold out much hope for Ohio, if I were you.

12. Ohio is NOT red. Blackwell helped orchestrate ELECTION THEFT coached on
his evilness KKKarl. This is known around the world and only those who blindly refuse to review the evidence perpetrate the myth of a bu$h win.

14. That's why I specified "state offices"...
I would support your contention on the Presidential election, but the state offices (like Governor) haven't even been remotely close in the last 15 years. No need to steal 'em when they're already winning by a landslide.

15. Not red? Two Repug Senators and a corrupt Repug Governor?
Get back to us when there is one Dem holding any important state or federal office in Ohio.

Sorry, but I'm a born-and-bred Buckeye and I know the color red when I see it, stolen Presidential election aside.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Officials with some of Ohio's county elections boards say representatives of a voting machine maker tried to strong-arm them into buying the company's products, a newspaper reported.
