DU: How is all of our precious info being housed, how do we get to it?
Edited on Mon Sep-05-05 06:17 PM by mom cat
I do not presume to have the answers, but I know that so many good threads have been assembled, but with the search functions disabled, it is like looking for a needle in a haystack.
Should we start a Katrina Research Forum or is there another way to have a central where DUers can post and find info?

Edit to direct people to a similiar thread.

1. Great idea...
Why do we need to repeat threads to the rethug talking points/lies once and hour because they disappear off the front page? People become irritable when the 100th post about school buses hits the site again and explain the chain of command and its genealogy over the last week and last few years Gov=Feds, DOD, HS, FEMA, NG

Important links are impossible to find.

Google works for big threads somewhat older but not for anything only a few hours old.

Requests for lists of info to archive also have to be repeated very often.

3. While the search function is disabled...bookmarks are your best friend.
The high traffic is making even the most important threads vanish without trace, for the the time being.
