Seven Curses

by Bob Dylan

That one doctor will not save him,
That two healers will not heal him,
That three eyes will not see him.
That four ears will not hear him,
That five walls will not hide him,
That six diggers will not bury him
And that seven deaths shall never kill him.

2. I am going to actually pity him
whe realizes the enormity of his misdeeds. Not a pretty moment for the soul. Whenever that may come to him.

That last picture... in his eyes. :scared:

4. Minstrel Boy this is so weird. I just composed the following which
I then decided not to post as I thought DUers might think it strange and/or not too nice of me to want to utter a curse and to utter it with my entire being.

I was going to post

``Forgive me if I offend anyone but I so despise Bush, his cabal and his cohorts that I pray, with all my being, that every power of the universe curse them and that the curse be that they themselves experience the suffering, the agony, torment they have caused.`

So imagine my surprise MB to open GD find your post.

5. I think a lot of people right now are dealing with emotions
that they are unaccustomed to. I know I am.

7. I don`t know how Americans who aren`t Bushbots or totally
apathetic are coping with this catastrophe. I am livid. I think I would be off the rails by now if I lived south of the 49th.

6. They're tyrin' to wash us away

What has happened down here is the winds have changed
Clouds roll in from the north and it started to rain
Rained real hard and it rained for a real long time
Six feet of water in the streets of Evangeline
The river rose all day
The river rose all night
Some people got lost in the flood
Some people got away alright
The river have busted through clear down to Plaquemines
Six feet of water in the streets of Evangelne
Louisiana, Louisiana
They're tyrin' to wash us away
They're tryin' to wash us away
Louisiana, Louisiana
They're tryin' to wash us away
They're tryin' to wash us away
President Coolidge came down in a railroad train
With a little fat man with a note-pad in his hand
The President say, "Little fat man isn't it a shame what the river has done
To this poor crackers land."
Louisiana, Louisiana
They're tryin' to wash us away
They're tryin' to wash us away
Louisiana, Louisiana
They're tryin' to wash us away
They're tryin' to wash us away
They're tryin' to wash us away
They're tryin' to wash us away

8. I have love that album (Good ole Boys-Randy Newman)
Since I started listening to it in the 70's. I have still listened to it all thru the years. The same with the bob dylan posted above.
Its amazing how song meaning is recycling to another time. But then that is what makes music timely and universal! Randy Newman is a painter in song, as is Bob Dylan (neil young, joni mitchell, van morrison:)and many others.

9. The poison is spreading

I hear the thunder three miles away
The Island's leaking into the bay
The poison is spreading
The demon is free
And people are running from what they can't even see

Face the fire
You can't turn away
The risk grows greater with each passing day
The waiting's over
The moment has come
To kill the fire and turn to the sun

They'll take your money
And then take your health
To line their pockets with unequalled wealth
These men are under the power of gold
We won't be safe until we shut them down cold

Face the fire
You can't turn away
The risk grows greater with each passing day
The waiting's over
The moment has come
To kill the fire and turn to the sun

The people came to the capitol town
One hundred thousand of them laid their hearts down
They screamed in anger and broadcast their fears
Just to have them fall on deaf ears

Face the fire
You can't turn away
The risk grows greater with each passing day
The waiting's over
The moment has come
To kill the fire and turn to the sun

Kill the fire and turn to the sun
