1. on the last point
Bill Schnieder on CNN said that Arnold could actually hurt Bush in 2004.

Yes, Bill actually said that.....the world has indeed been wacky this week.

4. The recall definitely hurts Bush.
The populism unleashed by it is not truly partisan in nature. "Throw the bums out" could extend to Washington fatcats too. I personally think, sitting here in Sacramento anyway, that the recall media coverage and hype has hindered the Bush administration. It has disallowed Bush from retaking the offensive, so to speak.

5. Hey, He is a prevaricator too. He lied he lied he lied
Earlier he dnied allegations of molesting women. "No, its not true"

A week later, obviously after consulting with Master Pubs, it was decided to tell the truth and hope it will go away. Like it was a youthful indiscretion.

Maybe if this passes it gives license to cop killers, terrorists, etc to apologize to the public and families/victims and "can I go now?"

11. They're LYING to make Arnold seem palatable to moderates!!!!
Hello! Don't believe the media about Arnold. The whole strategy in CA is to make Democrats feel comfortable voting for Arnold. Are you some kind of sucker? Of course a Gov Arnold is going to help Bush.

2. It's like the guys said...
In the article "Sex, Lies, and Videotape in DC and California
" on 10/1 Ron C. Coma boiled it down to the difference between having a (R) or a (D) after your name.

3. But, he was the Terminator, dudes!
Sorry to be so flippant, but I think that's what it comes down to here. I think that we have a tendency to forget that many political races are really popularity contests.

Otherwise, the only other conclusion is that the idiots have taken over the asylum. If people in CA are really dumb enough to vote for this guy based on the issues and his "experience", then they are even more ignorant than I, a serial cynicist (is that a word?), previously believed possible.

6. Now he is lying about the Hitler thingy. OMG, of course he gonna deny
that. No way he gonna admit THAT.

But the pattern has been set, He is not a Leader, He is a fraud. and he lies, LIES.

The people are mad if they elect this dude. Madness rules I guess.

7. I honestly think evil has taken over good.
My mom used to tell me when I was little that there were more good people than bad, only the good people tended to be quieter, less noticable. But I no longer believe that. I think people have become ignorant, selfish and intrinsically uncaring of others, and that we who think and care are the minority.

I live in California. If Gray Davis loses, my son will lose his disability program. He is only 2 and may never walk normally. My heart is broken because of the evil I see in ignorant people all around me, including my own family.

I feel hopeless.

8. My heart goes out to you
What a sad story about your son. Doesn't anyone supporting this recall understand that real people are in jeopardy here? Absolutely horrible.

10. your son
My sympathy goes to you as well. I have a 2 year old son as well. I cannot iamgine what I would do if I were in your situation. It just breaks my heart thinking about it.

If things go south on the election, maybe we could all get together and work up a way to help you out. Start a fund or something?

I feel your hopelessness as well.

12. Why don't we start by committing ourselves to vote, campaign for, and
donate money to Democrats?

If you want to help this person's son, then get a list of Califonia voters' telephone numbers from Moveon.org, and start making telephone calls.

9. All that matters to the
hard-core repukes is the "R" next to his name. If he was a Dem, the attacks would have been so vicious, he would have dropped out long ago. I work with a freeper who has made every excuse in the book for Arnold. The latest was that he can be forgiven for his womanizing and posing for nude pictures because he's "European." The freepers would never cut any Dem that kind of slack.

As for the Independents and Dems who are voting for him, I'd say its a mixture of celebrity and "sending a message" to the politicians - misguided as that is. Plus, the media has been fawning over the cretin since he announced. And bottom line - many people are upset that the "car tax" has been tripled and that undocumented workers can legally get driver's licenses. Never mind that Enron bankrupted the state and that driver's licenses should be required for every driver no matter how they got here.

Just hoping for a huge turnout of Dems who simply don't want to see the repukes thwart the democratic process yet again.

16. On #10, he's right
Corporate execs are now doing the exact reasons why they need to be controlled. Unfortunately, the Predator is more likely to curtail social freedoms and help out the corporate sleaze.

#2, #3, #11 and #12 make me sick. Of course, #2 parallel's John Lennon's comment about he being bigger than Jesus in content and sheer stupidity (Wouldn't you admire a person who could get a stadium full of people to cheer for you? You'd only be stupid to compare your ideals with that of established evil people, such as Hitler and soon-to-be Bush II. ) As I don't believe in #1, sins of the father (unless you're a Bush as that evil has been proven time and time again). Should we care about #5 because we stood up for Clinton? We should be attacking the pukes and their sheer hypocrisy re: #5. Didn't know about #4 or #8. #7 is obvious. So is #6, but he's an actor so that's okay. :eyes: Don't care about #9.
