Bush came right out and said it. "We did the best WE could do"
That is an admission of incompetence at best.

9/11. The 'best' they could do allowed the hijacking, destruction and death. "Noone could have known" but of course many, many did know.

Iraq. The 'best' they could do got us 2000 dead soldiers and made an unwinable mess of the middle east.

Gas prices. The 'best' they could do has seen them skyrocket to unprecedented levels and the oil company profits with them.

Katrina. The 'best' they could do is to make the situation much much worse. Once again "Noone could have known" came out of the bush mouth today. But many many did know.

Right from the mouths of bush and co they have done the best THEY could do.
And its piss poor by anyones definition.
I cant imagine any other administration in the history of our country that has been such a miserable and dangerous failure.

4. Not even that
An election year in a battleground state where your brother is govenor proves that even Republicans can do better (Hurricanes Charley and Frances) - if they care.

5. 911 and Katrina
Incompetence at best, genocidal Mass murder at worst.

I think that they cleared the board for 911 with the wargames, in either a last-ditch attempt to stop the attack or to tie up air defenses,in effect letting it happen. In their wargaming the scrambling of jets was delayed since they was confusion about real bogies vs. false blips.

The drills were ostensibly designed to test the way military and civilian air traffic control would report to NORAD. the operations with names like Northern Vigilance and Northern Guardian were simulating an air attack from the north arctic. (presumably from an attack from the former USSR/ China)

The relief effort in NO, It's the best they could do, because they are genocidal racist sociopaths, and delaying FEMA aid until Bush arrives is modus operandi. It's just a macabre political theatre to Rove, who is still calling the shots.

6. Well then if that is the best he can do
then he needs to step down immediately because he is totally incompetent and is unfit to fulfill the duties of the Presidency.
