What kind of concrete protest can we initiate????
Maybe I have ADD or something, 'cause I'm overloaded trying to read and absorb everything.

Lots of actions are being taken contacting elected officials and media. Cool.

I've read about protests....a modern-day Boston Tea Party as well....we sure as shit have lots of taxation without representation.

With the power of the Internet, email.....good grief, there's got to be something COHESIVE and EFFECTIVE we can initiate TODAY!!!!!!

You guys are brilliant.......please, what's something we can all get on board with NOW???

2. Sept. 24
seems to be the day of protest. It was planned to protest Iraq, but folks here have suggested ways we can include Hurricane Katrina response as well. One DUer has suggested creating a "Camp Katrina" in DC to coincide with the protests.

This makes sense, because Bush has treated both disasters the same way:

Even though he knew what was going to happen, he didn't plan adequately.

Not enough people were put into place to handle the problems of security

Haliburton is going to make out like a bandit from both tragedies.

I think that those like me who can't make it to DC should have local protests and bring up these points. We can add "If this is how they handle a hurricane, what will happen if we have another terrorist attack?" That will get even the freeper's attention, I think.

3. emails, petitions, protests.....something NOW
I don't think many of us can wait until the 24th. And it may not be nearly effective unless we get more people on board with the criminality going on NOW.

Gosh, I just wish my brain were working.......maybe "they" spiked my coffee, putting me in a brain fog...........
