Confused..........NO vs Miss?
I read all over the internet that Mississippi is in the same awful shape as NO, BUT on MTP Haley Barbour had only the nicest things to say about FEMA/FEDERAL government response. Now we all know HB is a GOP power broker. Was he playing politics on MTP or DID he get better response because he is a GOP insider vs LA's Governor that is a female Democratic Governor?

3. That's funny, because Maddy Mcall, a DU'er, is in MS right now and
Edited on Sun Sep-04-05 01:06 PM by tjdee
she posted last night that people are hungry, thirsty, and stealing gasoline *from parked cars* and that her family has to sit on their porch all night with a shotgun to protect their stuff.

So Haley Barbour is kissing Bush ass as usual and eating up whatever promises are being made.

4. I saw firemen from Mississippi
saying they have not seen FEMA. The help they were getting was only from local states.

Mississippi has been neglected as well. Barbour will not say it.

Investigate!
Impeach!
Imprison!
Immediately!

5. That's an excellent question.
Before Barbour was elected governor he was head of a hotshot LOBBYING law firm in DC. What's that mean? His firm (of which he's still a partner, if I'm not mistaken) raises money for politicians.

11. Operation Bookend is closing in.
This started with the Governors of Texas and Florida. Now It's moving in from of course the right. Now it's Texas and Miss. They are trying to dertract from the Atrocity in La. We can remain civilized durring this great tragedy. Is the picture they are trying to paint. But Currently Miss. has only reported 144 dead. 9/11 numbers will probably be comming out of La. any day now.

At one point the subliminals were Texas (R) is life and La. (D)is death.

For the Blame the Locals Dept. Absolutely blame the Governor of Miss. For the dead there. As Katrina was building off the coast. Meterologist were issuing warnings to Miss. They were saying that their reseach indicates that the real impact of hurricanes is to the north east of the eye. That even if the hurrican slams NOLA. Miss is going to get the worst of it and they did. They have the greater Natural Disaster. The glooding in MOLA is a Man made Disater and that mans name is George Bush. But to the best of my knowledge there was no evacuation called for mandatory or other wise. The 144 currently reported is probably the dead town. There is a town is Miss. Everyone that lived there is now dead. So Yes the Gov. of Miss. will want to put the heat on Blanco. He's one of the no responders.
