we are in an abusive relationship with our government
seriously, this should awaken self-preservation in every American, regardless of ethics, reason or opinions on the legality of the current administration. This is like our "Sleeping With the Enemy" and if we don't take action to get out of this relationship, our abusive government WILL KILL US. This is the first time the media is actually reporting, since 2001. This glitch in the matrix will close soon, though, if there was ever a time that impeachment or resignation could take place, it's now. You can't appeal to logic and facts when those things are not part of the public consciousness, but you can appeal to self-preservation, when for once the media IS showing very clearly that this administration is at odds with that.

1. Yes, it's very true.

What I posted earlier:

This should go beyond impeachment as far as I'm concerned. Bush going isn't enough unless every last one of his thugs goes with him. We've long speculated on who has the real control, but we KNOW they're all speaking the same bullshit.

And:

And I'm going to keep saying it, damnit.

3. Been saying that for several years now.
I was in an emotionally abusive relationship (no physical abuse, thank God), and the * administration act exactly like abusers. They say bad things to you and/or beat the crap out of you, and then tell you you're wrong/bad/crazy when you call them on it.

Well, I got out of that relationship, and vowed "never again" and I mean it. I know these people for what they are, and I am not going to lay down and take it.

5. The Good People left to suffer and die in New Orleans,
because they are poor and for the most part Black and really matter not one whit to GW, he does not "feel" for them, nor does he share their loss, it's horrific, but believable.

What also disturbs me is that this is not so much about race, but that it is a glimpse into our near future, if this Administration gets there way, much as they have for the last 4 1/2 years. This is how the have nots are going to be handled in the future.

The * Administration will destroy everything that is beautiful about America and as we have seen, it also includes the wonderful people, culture and institutions of a unique American City.

Bush hates Jazz too.

6. I agree and the donations being asked for are enabling them to shirk
responsibility. We are like the codependent spouse who pays all of the bills while an alcoholic spouse throws all their money away and wreaks havoc.
