I was thinking that one of the problems for the people in NOLA, in addition to the lack of food and water and sanitary facilities, was that there was no communication. They had no idea what was going on within the city, let alone if any help was coming.

Then I remembered that in Afghanistan, they dropped small battery operated radios, and flew a plane that broadcast information. Well, it was propaganda, but it was SOMEthing.

Our fucking government gave more thought to the people of Afghanistan than they did to our own American brothers and sisters.
