15. Keep your cool: We are mapping MALEVOLENT NEGLECT:
and documenting it and now we have the news services what they should have been doing all along:

MALEVOLENT NEGLECT:

THE CRUEL SOCIETY (Stephen Downes in Canada's phrase).

Repeated BEFORE (same as it ever was) after 9-11 when the Air Force 'stood down': why was the AF not in the air? Oh, you mean that 'War Games' practice which was coincidentally on the same day as that which 'confused' what should have taken place?

Chicago Mayor Daley stating back on SUNDAY that Chicago was ready to help out. http://www.suntimes.com/output/hurricane/cst-nws-daley0...

This is planned. It has to do with Rove setting up the chess board and moving a few of the pieces. The pieces that WERE on the board were these: underfund Army Corps of Engineers re: the 3 cities mapped by FEMA to be most at risk: San Francisco; NY; New Orleans. SF has too many activitist; NY also and has already been hit and would doubly irate this time; NO has 30% pop of black people, quite poor, black Dem mayor, Dem governor. Wait for Act of God....waiting....drumming fingers on table.....waiting.

Act of God (I was wondering where he was, says Rove): NOW, sir: send in those Nat'l Guard: its Thursday evening and the orders go out to get the NG in there.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/katrina_national_guard

Bush sweeps in like the Savior: kisses the babies; hugs the clean young Black women (as he turns them towards the cameras). A few more troublesome Dems drowned; Louisiana only has about 10 electoral college votes anyway.

Man: let's get back to our vacation.

20. It certainly has a racial component but it also appears to target
the poor. I wonder if creating racial strife to obscure the increasingly oppressive economic situation of most Americans was part of their plan, and a plan it was whether conscious or otherwise.

22. I think it reflects BushCo's mindset
They really believe that poor and marginalized people are useless. They really want to get rid of anybody who can't help BushCo make a buck. This is their world view.

They claim to be Christians, but their beliefs are more closely akin to satanism, imo.

8. In comparison to the victims of 9/11
Yes, there were many minorities and foreign citizens in the Towers, but the vast majority were middle to upper middle class white people. In addition, they couldn't let WALL STREET come to a grinding halt, could they now? All of NYC was not devastated, just one small area. There was food in the supermarkets, medicine and medical supplies in pharmacies, etc. etc. In addition, rescue workers came from many other states almost immediately to help out. We even had one small town donate a fire truck. It was a totally different situation.

Yet, they want to put Rudy in charge? Why? This is nothing like the situation on 9/11. As much as I dislike the man, even Jeb has more experience with natural disasters than Rudy does. Or are they looking at Rudy from a law and order standpoint? Nope, I think Rudy would only make things worse if that is the case.

I agree this is far worse than 9/11.

By any measure. People killed, economic impact, square miles of devastation.

Bush's response was the usual - cowardly detachment followed by falso bravado. Thanks a lot, George.

6. Blacks Aren't George's People...
Remember Bush's speech? "Some people call you the 'haves' and the 'have mores'...I call you my base."

Bush doesn't care about these people because they are:

1. BLACK

and

2. POOR

and

3. DEMOCRATS

If they were all blond and rich like Natalie Holloway, for whom they are STILL LOOKING, they'd have been plucked from rooftops by luxury helicopters and swiftly sent to the Ritz Carlton.

FUCK GEORGE BUSH.

Why did he fly from California all the way back to D.C. before flying to N.O.? Because...

HE DOESN'T CARE about these people. He's a fucking SOCIOPATH.

if it were another president. But nothing anymore surprises me with what he doesn't do or rejects. Six months from now, he'll be twisting things around to say that where was the help when we needed it most. I asked for your assistance and all you could give me was this medical truck. It'll happen..just a matter of when he'll start twisting it to his liking.

10. What is stopping states...
from sending down help and bypassing the Feds?

I mean, how bad could it be to boost their own personal status in front of the American people by sending down help, and showing Bush and his regime to be the murdering cowards they are?

I think all rules are off. People are dying, and they are not just aloowing it to happen; they WANT it to. They have now proven this.

11. Thanks but no thanks, Mayor Daley -- you're a Democrat
There's nothing this corrupt admnistration won't do to further it political agenda. And that includes playing politics while denying that they're playing politics, and then screaming about the Democrats playing politics when they point out that they're playing politics.

Sorry that got a little confused. The cat's on my lap, trying to crawl inside my skin.

Halliburton gets Katrina contract, hires former FEMA director
1 Sept. 2005
WASHINGTON, Sept. 1 (HalliburtonWatch.org) -- The US Navy asked Halliburton to repair naval facilities damaged by Hurricane Katrina, the Houston Chronicle reported today. The work was assigned to Halliburton's KBR subsidiary under the Navy's $500 million CONCAP contract awarded to KBR in 2001 and renewed in 2004. The repairs will take place in Louisiana and Mississippi.

KBR has not been asked to repair the levees destroyed in New Orleans which became the primary cause of most of the damage.

Just imagine if a storm that size had hit South Beach (you know -- Jeb country, where magnificant things were done last year following a series of hurricanes). Bush would have accepted all outside aid and have had troops staged to go in as soon as the storm had subsided.

What a friggin' transparent hypocrite.

And a 10 page pdf outlining all bush's crimes citing US and International Law and even Nurenburg Laws that Bushco has violated.

Need to sign petitions and write and keep pushing the media to tell the truth.

From what I hear CNN is so angry, they have started telling some of the truth, keep writing and Olbermann has some good writing on his blog about the horrifying situation and the lack of response.

OMG. A group in Florida wanted to volunteer to bring in 500 air boats
to help in the rescue efforts.

FEMA "emphatically" refused. They said they had to CONTRACT OUT for that and couldn't use volunteers.

Republican Rep. Mark Foley just said that on MSNBC.

34. Just Incredible...
...but it works for them on two levels.

(1) Michelin MalKKKin, Freeptards, and other assorted Republiscum have been farting and shrieking about the "lack" of foreign aid and Liberal fundraising. By refusing it (and using troops to keep the Red Cross away), and hoping/ensuring the MSM doesn't cover it (*cough* don't know about the success of that), they maintain their hate-based fantasy that they're the only ones doing the Right thing.

(2) Death for Blacks, money for Halliburton.

38. The Cons say it's the victims' fault for being black
"New Orleans was ripe for collapse. Its dangerous geography, combined with a dangerous culture, made it susceptible to an unfolding catastrophe. Currents of chaos and lawlessness were running through the city long before this week, and they were bound to come to the surface under the pressure of natural disaster and explode in a scene of looting and mayhem."

So writes George Neumayr, the executive editor of The American Spectator, in "Masques of Death."
