Class action lawsuit by the victims left behind?

I wonder if this might be an option. I'm not normally a big fan of class action suits because the lawyers end up taking all of the winnings for themselves, leaving the plaintiffs with table scraps. In this case, though, I would like to see somebody held accountable for this outrage.
