DO WE NEED TO GO TO DC NOW?
Edited on Thu Sep-01-05 11:03 PM by SofaKingLiberal
Should a protest to impeach and to send the relief needed start today? Should we camp out like at Crawford and wait for more and more to arrive?

12. I think we need
another Bonus Army march or Hooverville on the grounds of the White House. Hey.... I got an idea, how 'bout George and Laura hosting a bunch of the refugees? And Cheney's bunker? For cripes sake, those repubs couldn't think creatively if they thunk and thunk and thunk all day.

16. First, go pick up the NO refugees, THEN go to Washington.
"They also said people there wondered why all of us aren't driving there to help drive them out---that was hard to hear. They had no problem driving out and the roads looked fine."

I'd go if my health weren't so bad.

17. Kick!
I suggestedin a thread earlier that we bus the refugees to DC and have them all lead the impeachment rally on the White House lawn September 24th. What better testament to Bush's incompetency -- and criminal negligence-- does anyone need?

20. I'm not sure they'd be up to it, Liberty Belle.
They must be tired as hell. They just lost everything and don't have money for food and water.

It would make a great statement, but someone would have to make sure they were comfortable and had food, water and medicine. I haven't missed meals, but even I couldn't go due to health issues.

22. I like it.
I do. If we could raise enough money we could get several buses, some could take the sick to hospitals, and others could drive those people to DC. They could be loaded up with food and water. I could probably get to DC this weekend if my gas situation is okay.

Or go to the bush clan's real home in kennebunkport not that "I'm a average guy" propganda stage set ranch in Crawford?

23. We need to go now more than ever. This negligent behavior of
or federal government in totality needs to be laid at their feet. They need to feel the anger of the people.
