I walked out of the room for a moment. Came back and Rick Sanchez was on - immediately cringed and was so revolted I didn't even listen to what he was saying.

Sanchez certainly sounded like he did not agree with the decision. These rescuers had come from California with their boats but now FEMA wouldn't let them go out.

Sanchez and Cooper sounded incredulous over FEMA's decision.

So am I.

4. It's their excuse to cover the fact they still are not prepared to do
the job they are tasked for. Someone must be blamed to cover their incompetence...hance, the victims.

they were referring to sherrif/fire volunteers from california in this particular instance.

8. They Stopped the rescue boats this Morning!
There is a long LBN thread on it. They said too dangerous for us we "need a new plan"! No more boats out today for rescue! God these poor people trapped. I am sick.

10. This is an insult to the hundreds of firefighters
and dozens of cops. that ran into their favorite iconic moment 9/11 knowing that they probably wouldn't be coming back out. the people protecting and serving us are now cowards?

11. in the defense of the volunteer (non-federal) responders..
they werent happy about it. they had come from cali and wanted to keep going.
