7. critics of Clinton missed the point

Not only did he cover for Bush 1 when the question was obviously too tough, he also showed that the guy in office is much MUCH M U C H worse than he in comparison.

But he did it professionally, with kindness and with consideration of the office. Something he was not shown all too often.

Anyone watching Bush 1 and Clinton realized that either guy (Yes, even George the first at his advanced age) was more equiped emotionally, mentally and personality-wise than our current president.

Why did he do it? Simple. He is head, shoulders and waist smarter than Bush the Tooth.

Imagine the reaction if he had criticized Bush Too(little). The rightwingnuts would have moved the story away from the disaster in NO to making it about him. "How dare he criticize?" "Sour grapes" and worse. He would have become the story rather than the failures of the current pResident. By being supportive, smart and protecting the 1st, he removes himself from being a target AND he makes shrub look bad in comparison.

The only thing better would be for shurb to resign and to have Clinton take over. Or even Bush the oneth.
