I think we should "stay the course" in New Orleans
If we pull out now, it'll just give the looters the victory.

When the New Orleans people stand up, we'll stand down.

20. Once we have overthrown their government
Edited on Thu Sep-01-05 02:42 PM by AnneD
they will greet us with flowers, chocolate and beads. Sure they don't have electricity, water and fuel after the air strikes, but we can get that going in no time. I think the various factions (the looters, the living , and the dead can form a government once they vote for their leaders).

Much as I love my country, I gotta think of myself here...

"Freedom's untidy, and free people are free to make mistakes and commit crimes and do bad things," Rumsfeld said. "They're also free to live their lives and do wonderful things. And that's what's going to happen here."

19. Maybe we should tell Rummy there's some WMD at the Superdome
In about 2 hours, he'd get the Pentagon to build some temporary floating bridges and send in plenty of support.

16. Yes! "Cut and Run" is NOT a viable option!
If they can shoot at helicopters at Iraq and not back down, FEMA can get their asses into boats and not back down rescuing people!

:grr:

21. The looter's are coming from outside the state.
They should seal the borders. Clean up the city. Go house to house street to street to get rid of the looters. They hate us becouse of our AC.

if it was the people would be given bottles of Dom and french cusine, thousands hit by Katrina will have died because of incompetance from rescue-mismanagement!

Fema says looters get top priority not those in harms way!
