Video of Conditions inside NO Convention center so Shocking/Can't be Aired

Report on MSNBC Devastation,
chairs, corpses lined up against the walls...Babies dying, People dying of dehydration, no food...people told to come there...walked in water to shelter and there was nothing there...no one is in charge...Photographer said photographs so shocking he could barely take them... Anchor said the pictures are so shocking about the people and conditions MSNBC couldn't air them.

What he reported was so dreaful the tears were streaming down my face...and I don't understand why food and water are not being dropped out of helicopters to these people. If Harry Connick, Jr. could get in there to see these people and try to help then why can't food and water be gotten in.

None of this makes any sense....We live in a third world country with a dictator who refuses to help the starving, stranded people and our National Guard is not there, and NO ONE IS IN CHARGE.

WHY? WHY? I can't find any answer. :cry:

I know it's been said before, but surely a helicopter can get in and drop water bottles to these people. Medical personnel can be airlifted. Food can be airlifted and dropped. This is just crazy - There IS a way to get help in there.

Miami after Hurricane Andrew. People had to riot and local leaders had to scream for help before they decided to send help. If I remember correctly, once it became obvious that local police couldn't control the situation and everything was breaking down, the NG and other military arrived pretty quickly. Initial response was slow, but once they decided to respond, they did it fairly quickly.
