An analysis of looting from another category four hurricane in the Caribe
Bottom line was, it was inevitable... in St. Maarten in 1995 with Hurricane Luis. Looting that is...

The main food center companies (Ahold, the world's largest on the Dutch side, and the several French consortiums) decided to open the doors and let insurance sort it out later.

But in New Orleans, it's fucking shoot to kill now.

Now, I get to watch CNN international and see redneck dickheads threaten to kill on sight any N-words' they see.

Fuck yeah... it's hunting season idn't it?

Sick culture, and one hell of a sick society.

2. Looting happens in chaotic situatons.
If our National Guard had been at home doing what they are supposed to do, which is keeping order and giving assistance during disasters, order would have been restored much more quickly, But our National Guard is in Iraq fighting a war they are not supposed to fight.

Bush is a disaster. I can't believe even his own Republican fellow politicians can't set aside their politics and be Americans first. I think the fact that they haven't tried to get him out of office makes them as treasonous as he and his administration are.

3. "Fucking shoot to kill now"
Funny, I haven't heard of that happening. Unless you're talking about the looter shooting the police officer in the head. Is that what you're talking about???

5. You mean the looters are shooting to kill?
Cuz it's always been shooting looters. It's one thing to go for food, another to attack pawn shops with guns and jewelry. Does anyone not understand why looting is dangerous? It's dangerous not because items are being stolen (which is total bullshit and unfair to businesses that are suffering the losses), it's because it starts a chain of lawless behavior that eventually becomes impossible to control. It's the lawlessness of the behavior, not the money. Looters are attacking other looters, in some cases business owners are killed or attacked by looters, because it becomes a vicious dog mentality and a mob mentality. With thousands of people dead and missing, I'd think the energy into stealing jewelry and electronics would be better served trying to help your fellow man.
