More pictures from El Mirage, AZ protest...32 images...
Here are all the pictures that I took today in El Mirage, AZ. It was great...no "free speech" zone here...we were right in his face and there wasn't anything the SS could do about it...!

Please do not hotlink these images...right click and save to your own hardrive if you want to keep one or two...my server is strained as it is...thanks a bunch.

Enjoy...

These ladies I met when I first got there...The one holding the "Army Mom" sign was flicked off and told "Lose weight B!t@h" by a repuke driving by. That jerkoff was pretty much the only one who caused some trouble. Such compassion huh...?

It was still early when I got there...but the crowd did pick up rather quicly.

The front enterance...He couldn't hide from us...!!!

Code Pink was out in full force. Handing out signs, literature, water, and really kept everyone going...!

Like I said...He can't hide from us...he had to come right by us to get in.

Chicken George showed up...this guy was great...He was a hit...I felt sorry for him though...it was warm out and I know he had to be burning up in that suit!

Still waiting for chimpy to show up...

People started to cross the street but were quickly sent back to our side of the street...to close to Chimpy I guess...

Yours truly...! The one and only "IMAX"...! Like my shirt...?

The two brothers that I met...sorry guys, can't remember your names...It's a bad habit that I have.

The crowd seemed to just keep getting bigger...people were coming from everywhere...!!!

The Surprise, El Mirage, and the Sheriff's department were all very friendly and very helpful.

More and more people kept showing up and chanting, singing, and having fun while Chimpy was inside making his scripted speech.

Lady Lib and friend...she saw my shirt and yelled out...very nice meeting you guys...!!!

Yours truly again...

These pictures really don't do the size of the crowd justice...there was many people there...I'm guessing 150 to 200, but there was others saying about 300+...all's I can tell you is that there was a lot of people there to shout down Chimpy...!

Here's Chimpy and Pickles quickly driving away...Bye Bye liar...!

And Again...Please use these pictures if you want to...all's I ask is that you save them to your hardrive and post them to your own server if you have one. Please do not hotlink my images...my server is strained as it is...thanks...

7. Nominated. Thanks for re-posting from AZ forum.
I was afraid it would sink into obscurity in that forum. Good to see it here in GD so it can get out to a wider audience.

Good work!

18. a web page can either link (hotlink) to images on another's computer or
Edited on Mon Aug-29-05 07:44 PM by bpilgrim
link to images on your own computer.

an image on a web page that links (hotlink) to an image on another persons computer, uses the other persons bandwidth to display the image, so it cost the other computer owner money, even though their web page is not shown, only their image, on another persons web page, which most folks frown upon.

hope that helps :hi:

BTW: check out the unofficial DU gallery...

22. using another's name ie http://www.anothersite.com/ images/their_pic.gif
in the HTML CODE for images.

on DU it's way easier though... just copy and paste the full link to the image and it shows up, no need for pesky HTML code ;->

29. by posting the picture on your server first, then link to that
on DU though (or any other online community) if you provide a link back to the web site you got the image from it becomes FREE advertising to them. sure they gotta pay for the bandwidth but they don't pay anything for the free publicity and link back to their site which usually gets MUCH more hits than the traditional way :hi:

BTW: DU doesn't mind "hot-linking" - it's actually better for DU's busy servers ;->

28. Chicken George was set up by a guy that got tombstoned on DU
His brother was the Chicken George in Salt Lake City and he coordinated with someone here from Code Pink here in AZ to get somebody to be the chicken here. I'm glad it worked out. He looks great. He's been working on getting chickens to show up whereever Bush goes. Here's more about it:

http://www.livejournal.com/community/chickengeorge/552.html

Apparently, there was a chicken that stalked George back in 1992.

33. See what Cindy started???
Folks at Crawford this weekend were asking "what next?" I told them it was up to them to take it to their communities & how other communities (at the time only SLC & Idaho were the ones I was aware of) were starting to protest Bush where ever he went.

Folks, do not doubt that we are on the offensive! Keep up the peaceful demonstrations to keep the pressure building on shrubbie to finally admit he LIED about the war & bring the troops home!
