Who Leaked the 9/11 Bush Knew Story?
I don't remember. Why wasn't it a bigger scandal? Could this be the CIA's trump card?

1. Nobody leaked it, really.
A lot of different people had pieces of the puzzle, and other people took them and put the whole thing together.

Bush had to have known. That's the only way his performance at the Booker school makes any sense at all.

2. Actually - wasn't there a picture of
* on the front page of the New York Times with 'BUSH KNEW' - and then Condi answers reporters questions saying "we were thinking 'TRADITIONAL' hijacking - and almost crying.

It got out - but the media was very complicit in sweeping it quickly back under the rug never to be heard in print again. Now everything in main stream media is pretty much "all the conspiracy theories" out there. Case in point - Wall Street Journal - Monday of this week.

4. it was too big to be a scandal

People were in shock. No one person leaked that Bush knew. Intelligence agencies around the world revealed that they had warned the U.S. of the impending attack. Bush received a memo on August 6 telling that the attacks were coming, but he said it was too vague and did not bother to warn the FAA to alert the airlines. If he really thought it would be a conventional hijacking, this was a curious dereliction of duty.

Big scandals don't work because the average decent person cannot comprehend the evil of a Hitler or a Bush. That's why you have to hammer away at the small stuff. The average person can easily imagine getting a blow job. He can't so easily imagine refusing to alert the airlines that they are in danger of multiple hijackings...it just wouldn't cross our minds to do something this low to score a point.

is this the headline you were seeking?

On edit: I have uploaded the "Bush Knew" gif to the DU signature site for anyone to use. You can use it by referencing http:// followed by NO www but instead going directly to 207.137.168.225/bushknew.gif
