YO NH, look out for moving trucks. Incoming Libertarians !
http://www.cnn.com/2003/ALLPOLITICS/10/01/free.state.ap/index.html

Seems that they have selected NH over Whyoming (yeah I know its wrong) to become the "Free State". They hope to colonize the state and make it a haven for limited govt and a poster child for the Libertarian model.

Forewarned is forarmed !

2. This is a typical campaign move to effect the Dem primary.
The GOP has its nomads who will move into close districts to assure GOP wins. Disgusting.

7. ha
the close districts are too densely populated. They'll be stuck moving to the cold north - where it's nearly impossible to make a living.

These are the future WalMart employees of the north - they just don't get it yet.

12. they don't need to do it here
NH is GOP through and through. We haven't given in to the concept of a 2 party system, especially here in the north. In the 2002 state elections, in my district there were Democrats on the ballot for the first time in 10 years.

13. This has been in the works for a while-
http://www.freestateproject.org/

Yes, it's full of nutcases that insist responsibility stops at the individual (thus, social responsibility is anathema). But it should be taken seriously.

3. more trailers than trucks
is the climate in NH conducive to growing marijuana?

After all, a libertarian is a republican who smokes pot, is one not?

or NH climate. I was under the impression it was cold there.

4. Libertarian motto:
"People won't mind living under feudalism if they've got enough pot!"

Actually, that's the capital-L Libs. I have a great deal of sympathy for and agreement with lowercase-l libertarians, but the right-wing nutbar types who consider taxation level as an absolute measure of freedom, and the ability to bully the economically weaker as a birthright of the rich, disgust me.

6. I thought they'd pick a
Northeastern state. Better NH than VT. (Sorry New Hampshirites) I think they made a serious mistake though. Clearly they won't make any hay in Southern NH, which is more or less a Boston suburb. That leaves Northern NH, a part of the state which wields far less political influence.

...so your taxes won't be spent on people with dark skin?

Or to avoid them almost completely?
