If Fitzgerald and the grand jury hands down
indictments, how do you think the public will react? Will this totally blow their minds?

23. ...but HOW will it be reported?

Will the story be the indictments or will the story consist of tons slime being dumped on Fitzgerald by Rove and his gang?

2. I think the die-hard Kool-Aid drinkers will see a liberal conspiracy
Even though PFitz is a thoroughly Republican appointee. They'll make Rove and Libby and whoever else is indicted (oh please please please let it be Cheney) out to be victims of those vindictive lefty operatives, the Wilson/Plames. But for the other 65 percent of the country, it'll be high theater of the most gripping kind. I can't wait.

6. Of course they will.
It won't make a difference. The Dems will unite behind this and there will be Repug defections. The law is the law. Either you uphold it, or you don't. Would you stake your Congressional seat to oppose a grand jury indictment?

4. Blow Their Minds?
The 20% will still defend Shrub. Another 20% won't know what to think....and the remaining 60% will say, another day....another Shrub fiasco!

5. It will have a superbly chilling effect.
The indictments are coming. It's been many months since the grand jury convened, more than enough time to firm up a case for the West Wing staffers, if that was all Fitz is after. If there was no case, he would have stopped things by now.

No. He's hunting big game. The only explanation for this. Patience. One Friday afternoon some day soon, the wait will be over.

8. now that;s the $50 million question...
I'd like to think Cheney, along with Libby and Rove, but if it was getting that high, I can't imagine there wouldn't be rumours...

9. There've been rumors about Bolton
as the possible forger of the Niger documents, and a potential target of PFitz's investigation. But Cheney's definitely the big fish, IMO.

15. Him, too.
Get them all, the whole bunch of them.

If Condi was the leaker they ought to indict her for violation of the 1982 Identities Act *and* Capital Treason.

10. At minimum...
Well, somebody with the requisite security clearance to know Valerie Wilson's status with the CIA leaked her identity to West Wingers with the intent of taking retribution against her husband. That individual might likely be Condi Rice, the current Secy of State.

If that isn't big enough game consider this. It is already known that I. Stewart Libby and Karl Rove are up to their neck in this affair. These are the two people the closest to the two top men in the government. It's been over two fucking years since these assholes exposed an entire network working on weapons of mass distruction for this government, specifically *nuclear* weapons. I find it superbly ironic that at the same exact time they exposed Ms. Wilson's network they were making the claim that Sadam Hussein had to be attacked because of *his* weapons of mass destruction. For two fucking years these incredible jerks did everything they could to obstruct, hide, and misdirect the investigation.

I think Fitz has the President and Vice President dead to rights for Obstruction of Justice and Conspiracy. Now, is that big enough?

22. it's speculation
My general assessment of Cheney's morality says it's a rather likely behavior for him. I have no supporting evidence.
