PUKE ALERT!

Bush Begins 5-Day Push to Defend Iraq War By NEDRA PICKLER, Associated Press Writer
48 minutes ago

CRAWFORD, Texas - With anti-war protesters continuing their vigil outside President Bush's ranch, the commander in chief began a five-day push Saturday to tell Americans why he thinks U.S. troops must continue the fight in Iraq.
In his weekly radio address, Bush argued that the war in Iraq will keep Americans safe for generations to come. He'll try to drive that point home with speeches in upcoming days in Utah and Idaho.

"Our troops know that they're fighting in Iraq, Afghanistan, and elsewhere to protect their fellow Americans from a savage enemy," the president said in the recorded broadcast."They know that if we do not confront these evil men abroad, we will have to face them one day in our own cities and streets, and they know that the safety and security of every American is at stake in this war, and they know we will prevail."

1. This is another "Bring it on" by Bush
Does he realize that by saying "We're in Iraq to keep the terrorists from coming here", he's really egging on terrorist elements to do something here? If he were really interested in fighting terrorism, he would have gotten bin Laden, strengthened our ports and trasnportation systems, and beefed up first responders, etc, etc.

20. Ha Ha, but they can't.
Don't you know anything. They have to go to Iraq first, our fearless leader has told them so. Now if some of them make it through the gauntlet in Iraq, fine, then and only then may they come to the US.

Once at the US border, a legal checkpoint only please, thank you, they will promptly be apprehended.

People, please pay attention, I don't want to have to repeat myself!

22. I've no doubt...
...Dubya is intentionally egging on terrorists to do something here. It's what will justify an attack against Iran, martial law here in the states, and draw attention away from Cindy Sheehan and the anti-war movement. He'd like nothing more than for them to do something major on U.S. soil and if real terrorists don't, Bushco will stage something. They're not just going to just sit by and let the anti-war movement grab the headlines while Dubya's approval ratings continue to plummet.

This village idiot is always on the defensive about his bushit policies. It's HARD work defending the indefensible.

3. WOW Another media blitz
like his wildly successful tour in support of private accounts for Social Security.

Hopefully these clowns won't figure it out until much later, but the more people see and hear this clown, the less likely they'll buy any more tickets to the circus.

5. GOD DAMMIT.
You know what, Mr. Bush. Stop wasting time. I don't want you spending five days defending your stupid fucking war. How about, for a change, you spend FIVE DAYS DEFENDING AMERICA. Get out there and fucking get on this whole North Korea thing for fuck's sake. Go stop nuclear proliferation for five days. Do ANYTHING other than wasting another goddamn week defending your war (i.e. yourself) and do the fucking job the American public PAYS YOU to do.

Just five days. That's all I ask. Go man a fucking immigration checkpoint or something. Inspect a couple of cargo containers. Do background checks on foreigners in flight schools. Shit, man. Do whatever it takes!

9. Ya know, it was his constant defending of the Iraq war at the end of 2003
that finally woke me up to the danger to this nation that he represents.

And here we are, two years later, and he's still defending his actions over there.

Anyone care to remind us of the definition of insanity?

17. argued?
with who, exactly?

They are trying to make him sound like a debater, who is posing an argument rather than just reading a bunch of prepared remarks.

Its bullshit..

And Bush isn't saying anything different. Its the same lies.

29. I think he just wanted to get the press
away from Crawford ~ nobody is listening to his rhetoric anymore, other than the fringe elements.

As far as the RW objecting to the crosses?? Good, then stop this war so we don't have anymore! We objected to them from the beginning of the big lie.

We won't let them hide them anymore. It's a disgrace that they hide the dead. Italy, despite the huge opposition to the war, welcomed home their dead and honored them. George Bush and his freeper followers are ashamed of the dead. So, let them complain. It's time their sacrifice is recognized, not hidden in the dark of night. :patriot:
