Why does Anderson keep relentlessly saying we're covering all sides?
He sounds afraid and is giving the repukes the freedom to say any and everything, yet questioning every "controversial" remark made by Sheehan. There's something about this coverage that still smells of the long arm on *co.:banghead:

4. Did FAUX news get the computer worm or only CNN, ABC, CBS?
Hmmm, like anthrax showing up in only DEM mail and some media offices that had been unkind to b*sh, twins, etc...

2. Same reason Fox says they're "fair and balanced"
They're liars and reich wing propagandists.

5. over the years repugs have so yelled liberal media. the media
dont allow dems to talk, challenge on everything, and allow the repugs free ride. another part of the phenomenon is bush is the one in office. he is the one fucking up and making news. if they talk about bush and his fuck up, it means liberal media. the thing, it isnt the dems making decisions, what are they going ot report on them. so because they report the news, ergo bush, it is liberal media

6. He took a lesson from the Bush playbook
Keep repeating a lie enough times and people will start to believe in it.

Excerpt from http://www.nationmaster.com/encyclopedia/Big-Lie

"His primary rules were: never allow the public to cool off; never admit a fault or wrong; never concede that there may be some good in your enemy; never leave room for alternatives; never accept blame; concentrate on one enemy at a time and blame him for everything that goes wrong; people will believe a big lie sooner than a little one; and if you repeat it frequently enough people will sooner or later believe it. " - OSS report page 51 (a report prepared during the war by the Office of Strategic Services in describing Hitler's psychological profile)

Sound familiar, anyone?

7. "fair and balanced", "covering all sides" etc. are mantras to appease AC's
own conscience...the prick knows he is neither being fair, nor balanced and he knows that he is covering pro-bush forces 3/4 of the program's time over perhaps the one 1/4 coverage he may have given cindy sheehan.

9. Because he knows he's lying through his pretty teeth, of course.
They have to try to convince themselves before they have any chance whatsoever at convincing those of us who know the talking points are e-mailed daily from the Heritage Foundation.

Keep at it, AC. It isn't working, but I admire your ability to fool even yourself.

10. Given the most recent polls reflecting anti-war
sentiment, I'm surprised CNN producers haven't changed their tune to go with the flow. Unless, of course, the marching orders from higher up say stick with the same old plan and sell the war.

13. You can't just "cover all sides" and call yourself balanced.
Based on the polls, probably 60-70% of the calls were in support of Cindy. If this was truly an unbiased broadcast the comments played on the show would represent this percentage. But they made absolutely sure to air a negative comment for each positive comment. Note to CNN and Anderson Cooper: That is NOT unbiased reporting. Jeez!
