1600+ vigils tonight~ amazing and growing every hour
Edited on Wed Aug-17-05 05:10 PM by faithnotgreed
because there are not enough threads about the vigils tonight then im posting another one

ON EDIT: please sign up for one if you havent already

i just read an article posted here that states there are "hundreds" of vigils planned across the country in support
hundreds they say

ha

maybe yesterday there were hundreds but today there are 1620 all across the country and reading the posts on dailykos (and here of course) you can tell people are psyched up to show their support

interesting to see how this is reported tonight and tomorrow

will they use the same counter they did when 500 000 people marched in nyc last year but reported as 100 000
we shall see but even though they try they cant stop this movement

thank you cindy and thank you everyone who has helped make this happen

4. two hundred thirty-some in EDINA Mn. for gawdsakes!
Edina....richest community in the state (with possible exception of Wayzata)....long, long time rich ground for Republicans....BUT went for Kerry, along with Bloomington last time....

230+ people in the street at 50th/France Ave.?!?!!?
Astonishing!
This is more than a groundswell, baby!!!

5. you got that right - and its not just in "liberal" nyc either
Edited on Wed Aug-17-05 04:48 PM by faithnotgreed
its everywhere

i cannot wait to see the reports and photos but it doesnt matter because its still happening with full force

on edit: i only post nyc because that is where the anti rnc march took place last year which they vastly under-counted
