1. always thought wilson was a good guy
before this whole cia/wife thing came out, he was on some show, bill moyers i believe talking about foreign policy and making a lot of sense. he tried to be non partisan and did pretty good in it. i liked him ever since i saw him on there. drudge is an asshole. so what if he is a democrat. doesn't change the other issues.

3. Sounds like Drudge missed
making some S&B connection. Isn't that within his milieu?

4. He also worked in the first bush
administration and he pretty much said on C-Span this am (well he did say) that he would be considered left of center.

5. any irrelevancy to change the subject
...and yet the truth just smiles. The source for the "outing" of Plame, sadly for Drudge, doesn't happen to have been Wilson or even a leftie of any kind. It was reichpundit Novakula. And the leak is the story, not Wilson. Drudge can squirm and try to change the subject. But no one cares if Wilson gave Kerry money--the fact that he's a Democrat was never secret. Kind of doesn't really stack up much compared to a near-treasonous intelligence leak from within the WH for petty partisan revenge and whistle-blower intimidation.

The truth just smiles

6. Well, add this to Rand Beers leaving the NSA and signing on with Kerry.
Edited on Mon Sep-29-03 08:33 PM by blm
Now Joe Wilson. That means they TRUST Kerry to fix things and go after Bush.

Remember, the BFEE had their loyalists in the CIA go after Kerry when he was exposing them on BCCI and IranContra. The insiders, like Wilson, know what Kerry knows and know he was targeted.

This will be one history making campaign if the whole world is focused on two people, John Kerry and George Bush.

The shit will thicken over the next few days. Mark my word, or as I am fond of saying, verb sap.

10. Politicize everything
That seems to be the mantra these days. I'm f*cking sick of it. This country is going to go down the tubes if people cannot get past political affiliations.

Just because Wilson is a Dem somehow means he doesn't have some reasonable cause for concern. Did the WH go after him because he was a Dem? Should we be asking that question, too? Wilson's wife's name was leaked. That is the fact. Why does who he donated to have a damn thing to do with it?

Why does every damn issue come down to whether or not you are a Dem or a Repub?

Lucky Kerry!
Hannity was doing the same to Clark who retorted: "What, you don't believe in the 2 party system?"

Wilson has admitted being a Dem since at least the profile piece the NY Times did on him in July.

20. The fact that he's a Dem has been well known since
...the beginning of this story. It is NOT news, and Drudge's attempt to make Wilson the issue--not the Rove-reeking leak--only shows what flimsy umbrellas the reichpundits are trying to work with in the face of this tornado.

and what it has come to represent. After watching so much skill from Clinton to watching the dictatortot turn almost everything to shit, can you blame them?

24. He also donated $1000 to George W. Bush in 1999
Course, he ponied up $2000 for Al Gore at about that time, too. Looks like he plays horses on both sides.

Shouldn't the much-ballyhooed Drudge be capable of something more damning than running a search on opensecrets.org?

http://www.opensecrets.org/indivs/search.asp?NumOfThou=0&txtName=Wilson%2C+Joseph&txtState=DC&txtZip=&txtEmploy=&txtCand=&txt2004=Y&txt2002=Y&txt2000=Y&Order=N

(just in case anyone wants to repeat the experiment)

25. heheh...thankfully, Wilson leans left.
I wonder if they contribute to both as a diplomatic maneuver?

I doubt Bush expects anything in his stocking this Christmas from Mr. Wilson.
