The pipe bomber that was caught in Oklahoma?
He says he forgot he had forgotten it was in his bags. Uh-huh? It was set to go off with a call from his cell phone. Does anyone think he was making these bombs by himself? Who else is out there ? Just a thought...

1. Wonder what his purpose was in blowing people up? Think he had
a middle eastern man's passport to leave behind in the blast??

2. Why did they let him go? That is the important question.
Do we all go around just carrying bombs in our bags? Homeland Security? Why isn't there a Dem Congressperson or Senator out there pitching a fit? The JoeHawk Twins -- where are you?

<snip>

But Dreyling's landlord, former Oklahoma City Mayor Kirk Humphreys, said he had created a "glorified firecracker" and forgot it was in his luggage.

"I know Charlie Dreyling quite well," Humphreys said. "I appreciate what the authorities are doing making our airlines safe. I have every confidence that they'll find out Charlie Dreyling is a fine young man and no terrorist."

9. Well, why not?
It's not like they have anything to fear from terrorism in Oklahoma, right?

5. Your information is inaccurate
It was not set to go off when called from a cell phone.

What was said was it COULD have been detonated by a battery such as the one he had in his cell phone.

The device was described in an FBI affidavit as a carbon dioxide cartridge filled with gunpowder that could be detonated when connected to a power source such as the batteries Dreyling had in his electric razor and in his cell phone, which were also in his carryon bag.

I don't want to downplay that this guy is an idiot but it was, as one person described it, more than a firecracker but less than a pipe bomb.

16. exactly the type i and many others made many of as kids
to blow up little things, radios and stuff. i doubt it would be able to reasonably bring down a plane, it would just cause a few injuries and panic people if detonated.

of course i wouldn't dare be caught with one now.

13. I knew a kid forgot he had an army surplus defused grenade (in 7th grade)
Boy, did they scare the hell out of him.

But I'm talking about a 7th grade kid and a fake grenade.

This is a little different.

attempt to get it on a plane, and everyone knows it was just a honest mistake.

Wouldn't matter how many helped him..as long as they were white too.

But yeah, I worry who else was involved...call me crazy

17. The real terror alert color code is:
If you're white, it's alright
If you're brown or black, it's an attack.
